I ran the reports on my on-line store and found the majority click trails are searching "Skateboards". Unfortunately, I sell ONLY4 skates. I'd like to take advantage of the traffic through my store and sell more skateboards, preferably longboards. If there are SMALL manufacturers who would like to arrange a dropship program with our store, email me. I can add completes or decks. Thanks....

UK longboard sources
On 11/5/2000 kaspian wrote in from (208.244.nnn.nnn)

Rahul -- As far as I know, the main US-based suppliers (www.longskate.com and www.solidskate.com) are happy to ship internationally, though I'm not sure how steep the shipping charges are. I've been told that it's often cheaper to go this route than to buy locally in the UK, though I don't know if that's correct.

Have you checked out these sources in the UK?

www.freewax.com
www.surreyskateboards.com
www.bigworms.co.uk

I'd appreciate any feedback on this general issue (skateboard sources for people living outside the USA) because this question comes up all the time in the alt.skate-board newgroup. TIA!

Yo, this skate shop is the titest I ever seen! All downstairs of it is a clothing store, selling skate shoes to surf shorts to sweatshirts. It's got everything you need for being a realy boarder. But, upstairs, it's got a whole longboard shop, w/ a selection mainly focused on sector 9's, envy's, and even some of their own types of boards. in the rest of the upstairs floor, there's a whole surf shop, and they also supply wetsuits, wakeboards, and skimboards. I've never seena store like it, it's got everything, and nothing you don't need(except advice, cuz we all you we're all pro's) Keep it real, peace.

Looking for a good longboard shop in LA that sells Comet Downhill, Seismic, PowerPaw. Visiting LA, Bakersfield and Santa Barbara over a long weekend and also looking for some parks with old style snake runs (i.e. longboardable)in these areas. Anyone have info. Don't worry, I'm not a kook.

Street Machine is on Fifth between Broadway and E in Downtown San Diego. They have moved twice in the last two years, so if you look them up in the phone book, the address may be wrong.

World Wize in Omaha Nebraska
On 7/24/2000 John wrote in from (209.180.nnn.nnn)

Well I'm just doing a little plug for my friend Guy.
He owns a small skate shop near the new skatepark built in
Omaha (e-mail me if your going there for good directions)

He sold me one of his good longboards for a great price.

he also has his own brand of boards (Wizeguy) berrings, and bikes.

he is a nice person, and he also owns a pretty good sized half pipe
with a spine in the middle.

In a city where skateboarding is illegal, you gotta love it when a skate shop opens up a few blocks from the police station. They've got a decent selection of longboards and catalogs to brows through, with I believe three day dilivery, so if you're just passing through or on vacation they'll send it to your home so's that you can avoid the $50 fee on the air plane. They've also got an enormous selection of shortboards, Go peds, aggressive blades andtons of shoes, clothes, vidios, and all the other stuff that goes with the lifestyle. But the main reason i'm saying all this good stuff about the shop is that i've only been here a short while ang already i'm part of their family. The guys who run the shop are twins and they are extreamly knowledgable with every thing that they sell. So if you happen to be skating through downtown St. Pete stop in, grab a Hawaiian Punch and a Snickers and chill for a while.

I've mentioned this place a couple of times, it's one of the shops in San Diego that almost doesn't suck.

I went in there today since I was down in Belmont Park anyways, they have some new stock!

New things I saw there that I hadn't seen in there before: Bones Bombers 64mm in 85a and 90a (I'm getting a set soon), Power Paw Super Grip (White 74a, Kevlar core), Exkate Trucks, Soul Board decks (foam/fiberglass composite), G&S Fibreflex decks.

And Randal II's are still only $20 each here!
