Lizzie @ the Purple Skunk is GREAT! She fully hooked me up w/ a Fibreflex pintail, Randal 180's and abec11 Flashbacks - whatta super cushy ride!

Whether you're old or new, the Skunk is the place to get the perfect deck - they have a whole bunch of completes just waiting for a test ride up and down the mellow slopes of the Richmond.

I'll be back!

hey Jake,

Actually, there was remarkably little good longboard stuff in most of the skate/surf shops in San Diego when I lived there. I would just pick up the yellow pages and call the surf and skate shops. One place that is good is Hamel's in Mission Beach. You can also talk to Glenn of Solidskate, if he's still around. He's in the San Diego area, and he was always super cool about letting me drop by his offices to buy stuff so I could save shipping.

Traps SLC UTah
On 6/14/2002 Mike wrote in from (63.226.nnn.nnn)

don't know if anybody has posted about this shop yet, but i know i saw some inquires on longboard shops in utah when i searched for SLC. Anyway, Traps- its located on 13th east between 2nd and third south next to graywhale. they have the largest stock of longboards in SLC. they carry many different brands and know a lot. they have demo boards that they let you take out for a whole day if you want to. they definitely have the longboarding spirit. they even have a couple of slalom boards, even though not too many people around here do it. but go check them out.

online shop to europe
On 5/30/2002 gavin wrote in from (195.194.nnn.nnn)

pleasure tools in the US is who you want, look for their banner ad under the bearings forum.

great product, great prices and shipping is really well priced. if you can get some mates who also want bearings, then order more and spread the shipping cost.

Thanx

Chicago Longboards
On 5/29/2002 Jim wrote in from (65.28.nnn.nnn)

Does anyone know of a shop in the Chicago area that has a good selection of longboards and equipment? I don't want the typical only Sector 9 selection but rather something with more variety.

Thanks for the help:
Jim

Ok, Gareth, we are BLUSHING!! The honor of meeting you and fondling one of your awesome slalom decks was purely our pleasure! We are going to carry those fine riding machines and soon as Gareth gets back from Tahoe for the third race in the series, his boards will soon be gracing our wall.

Looking forward to participating in the race event that might take place up in Vancouver, Washington. If things go well, you guys can count on a BBQ at our house!
