I found the worst line you could take and still go fast. Just find a hill that has lots of dangerous obstacles, skate as fast and as close to them as you can without crashing. Then you'll have an idea of the course. Set your cones accordingly. Not only is La Costa the weekend of the 17th, but so is the Maryhill Festival of Wheels. Most of the riders in Portland will be at Maryhill. If it's anything like the F**k the Rain Tour, there will be over 70 people riding that hill! Should be INTENSE!!     Rate post 245206 ! Dave got the timer set up instantly and we were off. The course was wide open and fun. The format was 3 runs, best one counts. A .1 second cone penalty was accessed with no DQ. Mike raced with a drop DH board, Billy and Dan did it on their longboards, and Casey raced on his street deck with Gumballs. Super fun vibe. Brad took it easy, saving himself to make us proud at La Costa. I want to thank everyone for coming out and racin' in the park. BIG THANX go out to Rebel Skates for prizes. Again, thank you to Dave, Corey and Brad for getting the timer set-up while I was off dorking around after the SGS race. Do we have new time keepers in the making? Fast, big offsets, and a SCARY finish line. I set the cones very close to potholes, large cracks, dips, and a concrete barrier(on purpose). One wrong turn and you are going down hard. Not for the timid. The finish line claimed a couple victims. Mario Pieretti took a nasty slam while trying out the course last Wednesday and had to get his elbow stitched back together. JP Rowan gets the Slam of the Day Award with a dislocated shoulder. He came in a full 4 seconds faster on his second run and piled hard at the finish line. Racer and EMT Evan Miller was able to fix him on site. The format was simple- $5 entry fee, winner take all. There were only 13 cones, so it was a 2-cone DQ with a 1-cone/1 second time penalty.
