Longy-I guess there is no innocent civilians in terrorist attacks too? Does that give you shivers? What if those terrorist that were just arrested in Britton had released the ricin they had into the subway system and killed 25,000 innocent civilians in one fell swoop. Would that give you shivers?
Rick-My cyber time was recorded almost 2 years ago on a 17 yr old 34" pool board with Indy 169's and 25 year old used Gyros and Hoover bearings, This was also after only slaloming for 1 week after not slaloming for almost 15 years. I'll try and get a new time for you so you can decide if you still want to race me.
Phil-I'm over the whole Luge thing, it bores me, and I really dont have the fire under my ass to go fast laying down. I'm a skateboarder and when I finally realized that, that is when I quite. Thanx for the invite back to the fold, but I'm just not interested.

Noone, Nima, Jonny X, etc. Why do you hate America? When you saw what they did to the WTC and the Pentagon, were you secretly happy that the mean old USA got a black eye by some "poor" religeous lunatics? I have no doubt, you did. You hate America and what it stands for, pride, leadership and peace through superior firepower.
As far as the killing of civillians during war time, I agree with the US Army. Try to avoid civilian casualties as long as it does not put our soldiers at added risk. There are no innocent civilians in a war. The iraqi people have a responsibility to support a government that lives within the global community. They have failed to do this and now the mean old USA and GB are going to shut them down. To me the greatest day in US history was when we dropped the A - bombs on the Japanese. It saved our military from having to invade, (250,000 estimaied US KIA), and it put the rest of the nations on notice that we have to get along. Something they never quite got the hang of in Europe. Mark my words, when the dust settles, the people of Iraq will welcome us as liberators, and your peace at all costs mentallity will be shown for what it is, spineless, disloyal, crap. You are irrelivant.

I would like to race you. The only problem is trying to get you to say something specific. I'd probably ask, "when and where?" and your answer would be, "in California sometime in the past five decades."
You make a real spectacle out of yourself over demanding that others provide facts. I've asked twice for facts: where have you placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a skateboard slalom race in the past two years? All I get are generalities about how you're the grand old man of skateboarding. Big damned deal. What have you done lately to place yourself in a position to pass judgement over other skaters' abilities? I really doubt that hanging out with Richie, Steve Evans and Chicken means you are now the official referee of skating. That kind of status comes with winning.
You haven't won. You aren't legitimate.
Just prove me wrong and provide the facts. Name a race where you podiumed. Let us know your skill is as all-encompassing as your mouth.
If I don't get a straight answer to this, I will take it to the slalom forum. I'll ask, "could someone please provide a race result where Eric "Arab" Groff placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the past two years?" The deafening silence will not bother me, but it will leave your face hanging out. It's time to pay the piper for all your bravado, bud. Put up or give up.

Hack-Heres my email groff3@msn.com, Wanna race me, Yep my record speaks for itself, I have raced and beatin the best there ever was and is. PLAIN and SIMPLE, can you make that claim, I won my first slalom race in 1969 at age 8, I have podiumed and won contests and races thruout a 5 decade career, what have you done besides hide behind a keyboard and do nothing??????? If your so great put your ass on the line like I do every race.

The record shows that Arab won $100 on the FCR series in 2002. So remember: the next time Arab decides who is and is not worthy to hang with the big boys it's coming from a pro skater who earned $100. Which, I might add, is one-third LESS than Chris Chaput earned on the tour. I guess Chaput is three times the big dog than Arab ever hopes to be.
Just think: Arab gets to call himself a pro because he earned an average of $2 a week in winnings. If he could have just won one more race, maybe he could have paid cash for a new TTC truck instead of taking out that loan?
I hope everyone really understands what this is all about: Arab lives in California, skates with some really good California slalom skaters and can afford to go to a lot of California skateboard races. Where, though, does it show Arab is anything other than just another guy who shows up and pays his registration fee and runs the course?
No one who is involved in skateboard slalom racing should ever again be upset when Arab decides to pass judgement on YOUR skills. He's just another guy who races and spens entirely too much time on NCDSA trying to justify his participation in a sport where the best are way over his head. Arab can slalom, but he's really not that impressive.
The record and the facts speak for themselves.

Arab is correct: the record speaks for itself.
He's never won anything. He did not win any FCR events. He did not win any WLAC events. He did not win yesterday's JPL event. I can find no record of where he has won ANY slalom race event. He claims to have beaten every major series and pro champ. What he means is that in some ridiculously early preliminary round, he went up against Paul Dunn, Chicken or Ransom and won the heat when the other guy got a cramp or pulled up with a DQ. Of course, in the next heat Arab was beaten without mercy, eliminated and the other guy advanced to the round of 16 or the round of 8.
Alright, Arab, you like to talk about facts and all the magnificent wins on your record. Please list every race where you placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd? Also, you claim to be a pro skateboarder. How much money have you earned in the past two years riding a slalom skateboarder? What makes you a pro? The fact Indy gives you some free trucks? Not hardly.
What I'm saying is you're a blowhard fraud. You have no business telling someone else who is and is not "middle of the pack," or "good enough to hang," or who should and should not attend slalom skateboard "gatherings." You have no record of accomplishment in Slalom that sets you apart. You're just another guy who shows up and pays your registration. That's a long way from being judge and jury over the capabilities of other skaters.
And don't whine. Just list your accomplishments. Anything other would be revealed for what it is: you dodging the issue and making my point more clearly than I ever could.
P.S. Why am I anonymous? Because I'm such a good skater and racer that a consistent loser like you doesn't DESERVE to know who I am!

Slalom Quack- My record speaks for itself, I have beatin ever past and present world and series champion there is, I have beatin every person that has raced in a MAJOR PRO race over the last 2 years, in all about 200+ people. There is about I think 7 people that can make that claim. In my 5 decade career competing on a skateboard I have more wins and podiums then you can count on all of your little toes and fingers and pimples the you can count on your ass, Not bad for an overwieght balding 41 yr old.
What is your record and who have you beatin?
Instead of hiding behind a keyboard why dont you show up and race? Or are you not worthy? Scared to embarress yourself?
Just another weak ass sniper afraid to show up and race.

Sorry but how is Attacking Iraq revenge for what Al Queda did?. I guess it's a perfect example of the classic american diplomatic principle of "my enemy's enemy is my friend". What evidence is there that Bin Laden and Saddam have anything in common beyond the same skin tone and a hatred of america?
Are americans selectively bred for an inability to spot irony or something?. It seems to me they must be, otherwise they'd realise that the only country on the planet still childish enough to use "my enemy's enemy must be my friend" as a logical argument is the US itself. FFS, it's how Saddam came to power in the first place (when the US wanted an ally against Iran) and it's how the Taleban came to power in Afghanistan (Same story against the USSR).
