I Love the 'Above 20 mph' disclaimer!! Especially the recommendation for Randal's R-II built right in. ;-)

Is a perfectly good rear slalom truck. It has to have a straight axle and good hanger faces so you can run the nuts really tight. Steel bearing spacers or Biltins really help with grip.
And to answer the question: I'm at a place in my life where I've got things I'd rather do than standing in the basement installing axles. If I found a talented, creative machinist/skater who was so inclined, I'd sell the name, tooling, technology, and inventory. I'm interested in producing and selling complete trucks naymore, not piecemeal truck mods.

traditionally tracker had a 45 degree turning angle, i think sort of copied off excaliber or suregrip, sort of copied because it's a logical middle number, steering angle =leaning angle. The more new school truck is probabely a 50 degree, a bit quicker, maybe since most people tighten down on the bushings, it ends up close to a 45.

Fitz: Nice work. Wanna buy an established truck mod company with a very well known name and lots of really nice axles?
Cam: Most of what you want can be made.
heres what i wished they made: 85mm rtx I've made dozens from 80-140mm narrower bennett vectors Ditto. Spherical pivots on those, too wider bennett vectors Can do... seismics with a steeper angle Use a wedge narrower seismics 90-700-130mm w/ 8mm axles narrow indys eBay, baby a randal rear slalom truck. DH cut down to 100mm and finally chaput's fyre trucks ...waiting patiently

Simon, I grabbed this post by 'search', only because it's late here, and I gotta Go. Don't even Worry with Seismics, just dial in springs by your weight, and intentions, then (as with Any truck) add wedges to get the steering input to your liking.
On 6/7/2006 PSR wrote in from 216.66.xxx.xxx: Tai, I'd have to say Originals are THE tight-turn truck for freecarving. However, they don't like too much speed, so they're best for super-snaky runs or control in steeps. Carvers, I like (just look at their Vid to see how Those TURN), but since I'm much more of a Snowboard Carver than a Surfer, I've got issues with the Feel of those in tight turns. Also, I'm not too comfy at speed on these either. Seismics, well, you gotta dial in the springs. Once that's settled, though they're great. High-energy-return which is great for pumping, and no wheel rub once you stack the right riders/wedges for your wheel choice. As for speed, I still use German Seismics at the rear of a few of my Slalom boards, including the Bozi GS I used at Turri Road. Is 38 mph around cones enough to qualify? I also like Randals, and there's a few good 'copy-cat' variations on that truck out there too. I've heard good things about Holey as an example. Look at you bushing/wedge set-ups with a critical eye to get the most performance out of this type of truck. Going to 8mm axles may not be needed, but may help in high-traction situations. A good 'variant' would be Asphalt Playground's Slalom trucks, though width may be a factor there. If money is no object, maybe take a good hard look at Radikal's Downhill Truck. This could be all the modifications you'd ever want built right in. Their bushings, btw,Rule!

So I've been away from skating for a year or so and I'm about to revamp my board (I'm riding a good ole Bozi) with some new hardware, trucks, bearings, and wheels. I mostly do carving and relaxed skating, although we tackle so pretty serious hills. Right now I'm riding with a beat up original supercarve (original skateboards) in front and a randal 180 in the back. I beat the crap out of my old pair of flywheels, but I'm fairly set on gumballs. My concern, and my reason for posting here, is the truck choice. I had my eyes on seismics, but am having some second thoughts. I'm looking for fairly quick turning and good stability but am most concerned about being able to tighten up for bigger hills and reliability at speeds.
Please email your thoughts. Thanks guys!!
