Does anyone know of anyone selling any G&S Slalom Boards for 2000ish. The FreeRider and GS Lite models are what I am looking for. I have the Mallard Model and the Response Model. Any leads please send them my way...

EZ Ryder stuff
On 8/19/2008 munchh wrote in from United Kingdom  (86.151.nnn.nnn)

Mike, this deck was sold by a well known e-bayer last year if i remember right (might have been the year before), its one of Jay Addam's own and on the auction he had this message from Stacey Peralta, it might help in your search for info.

I was going to e-mail it direct, but i'm sure its of general interest.

"Here is what Stacy had to say about the board in April of 2000 { EZ is what spun off of Zephyr when Jay's dad Kent Sherwood (who was the original Zephyr board builder) had a disagreement with Ho and Skip, stopped making boards for them and began EZ Skates which I believe shortly after became Z-Flex . The Skateboard book from 1977 by Jim O'Mahoney has an original E-Z ad with I think Tony, Jay, Shogo, and possibly Paul Cullen as riders Glad to help Stacy}"

E/Z Rider
On 8/18/2008 Mike wrote in from United States  (96.251.nnn.nnn)

Hello, Mike here from Tunnel. I was just curious about E/Z Rider or Ryder Skateboards. This was the company that came after Zephyr and before Z-Flex. Does anyone out there have boards? Stickers? Are they valuable? How long before they became Z-Flex? Thanks for any input/history/etc. Mike

Alva, Skuda or what?
On 8/18/2008 Mark wrote in from United Kingdom  (90.198.nnn.nnn)

I bought a nice skateboard off e-bay which had full Tracker trucks, 70mm Red Kryps and a wooden rocker style deck with a purple Alva sticker on the bottom. The deck looks like a wooden Skuda deck with three thin dark wooden strips rather than two wider ones. It is beautifully made and has neat wheel arches. I would love to know who made the deck. Any ideas?

GT
On 8/14/2008 buddy rawls wrote in from United States  (128.158.nnn.nnn)

that GT is not a Grentec (GT), but rather just a company of the same name. GrenTec used a three hole mounting truck since day 1 and the molding did not look like that.

made in uk
On 8/14/2008 herbn wrote in from United States  (67.83.nnn.nnn)

even that orange board is unusual to me, the long skinney hole pattern the pattern of the ribs, the brand might be gt but it looks different than the american gt's i've seen maybe the name was licensed to a british manufacturer A few years ago i acquired by trade a very vintage clay wheeled board and i later spotted the remanents of a "made in great britten"on one of the clay wheels. i reallized that a lot of stuff seems to be made in the uk besides the stuff that's very well known.

Bennett Pro Trucks
On 8/10/2008 laurie18 wrote in from United Kingdom  (86.16.nnn.nnn)

I have just received a pair of NOS Bennett Pro trucks that I won on ebay a couple of weeks ago. Super nice condition however the plastic baseplates seem to a smokey dark gray clear/see-thru material. The only other Bennetts I own have ACS baseplates. Always thought the plastic Bennett baseplates were solid/opaque black.
Is this right?
Any thoughts?

Old
On 8/1/2008 Marty wrote in from United States  (209.214.nnn.nnn)

I'm heading to the Farm and this posed a nice dilema. Which board to put together for the Vintage race? I finally decided to put together the first FibreFlex slalom board I ever owned. I bought the deck from Brian Logan early fall of 1975 while up at La Costa.

It's a unique and one of a kind board that was built just for Brian by Dave McIntyre. A bit longer than the run of the day and it had extra plys for Brians weight. It still has the decals on it from back then with the only casualty being the top FF decal.

This should be fun.....

Vintage wheel stock
On 7/22/2008 mad-rat wrote in from United Kingdom  (92.233.nnn.nnn)

Its mad, a set of NOS OJ's sold about 3 months back for $400

Last week, and NOS set didnt even raise $50

Its mad lately. Some things that should have gone for tons, just havnt. Other things that are seemingly common or worthless has sold for much more than expected.

I've been on Ebay for 8 years and I've never seen it be so totally random for vintage skate gear as it is now.

Anybody have any idea what a good set of original OJ superjuice may be going for?

Would an E-bay auction draw enough true enthusiasts/collectors for this fine example of true skat-ism history?

Pro Class Skateboards Obscure Collection
On 7/20/2008 Vintage Man wrote in from United States  (66.245.nnn.nnn)

Not sure if anybody in the world cares :---)I finally got the 3rd one!!
Pro Class made 3 different sizes. Slight difference in styles.
The 28 inch I would call it rare. Not valuable rare, just rare to find.
More common are the 30 inch w/ lots of laminated wood and the 24 inch.
I believe Pro Class timed the market in 1977-ish with a 1960s surfer
style deck look while the masses looked for other styles.
Most Pro CLass when you see them, are in pretty good condition. I believe
due to lack of use were made quite solidly! If anyone knows more
about Pro Class skateboards please let me know!!
Ads sucked in Skateboarder mag, and the deck I believe was last made in
1978... I suspect they had a 2-3 yr run...I am guessing based on some facts.
