Aging on the deck looks right... Logos appear the same size as others I have seen on similar decks. Trucks look peiced together to me... wheels look newer.

All in all a bitchen board... wish I could afford it right now! HR

Ollie on eBay
On 2/14/2001 Scabs wrote in from (209.86.nnn.nnn)

C`mon guys, do your homework. It`s a simple matter of emailing the seller and asking him rather than bashing him.

I emailed him and as it turns out, eBay dropped the auction due to profane language. No other reason why it could have disappeared off thier data base so quickly.

It`s way too easy to trash a guys reputation on the web and even if he tried to defend his self, suspision and doubt had already set in.

BTW...the board is as far aas I know, still up for sale with high bid at $2100. Email Patrick at...
cdragon@ptd.net if you wish to bid further

Suspect Board
On 2/14/2001 Eric wrote in from (209.220.nnn.nnn)

The deck looks legit but the Deck/wheel/truck combo does not look if it is from the same era. Looks like a late 70's NOS Sims deck with Mid 80's Bones and late trackers (70's used flat washers) it could of been a bushing upgrade?
I'd just e-mail him and ask. I'm sure if he just slapped it together from stuff he had lying around he'd tell ya.

Uhhhh take a look at this ebay item http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1112364086. Sk8wurm puts a lot of stuff up for auction, does anyone deal with him. The board looks a little suspect, notice how small the sims logo is. I don't recall seeing this deck anywhere else. If sk8wurm is a reader of this board, I am not questioning whether you think it is an original deck, just want to get a second opinion.

Huh, that is interesting. I wonder if the guy cancled all his auctions or something. Maybe ebay kicked him off after he canceled them all.
He could have just been putting the boards up to see how much they'd fetch, you never know...heck I thought of doing that with some of my boards.
Lansing...you get those baseplates and stuff yet?

Ollie on eBay
On 2/11/2001 Lansing wrote in from (24.218.nnn.nnn)

Anybody know what happened to this? I was just curious as to how much it went for (last I saw it was up to $2100), but when I checked I got the "item no longer valid or in our database." Usually that message only comes up like 60 days after an auction close, or when an auction has been terminated by eBay. Just curious...

Hey Drakkars,

While a repro is a possibillity, I kinda doubt it. Go look at the sellers "other" auctions. He has quite a quiver up for sale.

Here`s a Genuine re-issue Ollie

Yo-yo wheels
On 2/5/2001 Glen wrote in from (216.102.nnn.nnn)

gary, you are probably remembering Steve Cathey's G&S Yo-yo's. They were OK wheels with the dual formula. The Yo-yo was pretty revolutionary at the time and while it wasn't the hot ticket wheel of the day, it's radial design was copied by many and proved that in most situations a radial skate wheel is the preferred design.

IDI manufactured them for G&S.

anyone remember a wheel that had two types of urethane
hard on the back side and softer on the outside. I think it was two colors also, red and yellow? One urethane being red the other yellow.

8 wheeler
On 1/31/2001 Glen wrote in from (216.102.nnn.nnn)

The 8 wheeler movie is Tom Fain and Mikel Betts. Mikey is the kickflipper/shove-it guy, Tom is the rock'n'roll, invert guy.

Just for your info,
That's Tom's old 8 wheeler, not the new Veteran one.
