the hartz IV truck is supposed to be a front truck only it is 100mm wide and spaceable to 108mm.there is an option for a spherical bearing add 6 euros to the price. the hanger performs amazingly well on a tracker baseplate.i do not want to compare it to other modded trucks, people will decide for themselves how difference there is. on the downhill truck:the 8mm axle is a 10mm axle actually if you want a 10mm axle this is an upgrade and negotiable

Damn, Donald, those look supergood. And worth a bit of 'show and tell' should the weather take a turn at Hog Hill. I'd make the trip to Redbridge just for that eye candy.
Yup. I CAN smell it, to say so!

he might not be from australia i guess? maybe from another concerned company owner hunting for those kisses?
who knows... i don't really care so much about those things as i did in the past. making good boards creating a kick ass team having the teamrider smiling

i figured out what he did wrong,he used some computer gimmick to draw the center line off the outline, which is backwards to the way the board was probabely made, the holes were drilled first and the shape was cut around them, but then probabely hand sanded to a smooth finnish, rounding edges just a bit ,whatever.Because of the shape being kind of complicated any little change in the radius or position of a corner will shift the centerline in that spot(the way the computer figures it out),but it wouldn't be noticable while riding and unimportant.

Hey Herb, the lines 'step' because I used a cheap ass pain program and a 1-pixel line. The point is that everything lines up just fine in the more straight-on shot. Sick deck motherf#@!ers!

look at the white skaterbilt, down a little ways, the forth pair of holes from the front. On a lot of foam core, cap constructed boards the core looks off center or just plain old misshaped ,fancy thin edged gothic shapes are cool but get misshaped by the slightest bit of hand sanding, it doesn't effect the way the board rides,if the holes are drilled right and the template for cutting the board is centered on a straight set of holes,it's just aesthetic.

Anyone would realise that lenses distort. I mean, photographs often show me to be ugly, but how can that possibly be the case? Wikipedia is your friend.
...Radial distortion is a failure of a lens to be rectilinear: a failure to image lines into lines. If a photograph is not taken straight-on then, even with a perfect rectilinear lens, rectangles will appear as trapezoids: lines are imaged as lines, but the angles between them are not preserved (tilt is not a conformal map). This effect can be controlled by using a perspective control lens, or corrected in post-processing.
Due to perspective, cameras image a cube as a square frustum (a truncated pyramid, with trapezoidal sides)—the far end is smaller than the near end. This creates perspective, and the rate at which this scaling happens (how quickly more distant objects shrink) creates a sense of a scene being deep or shallow. This cannot be changed or corrected by a simple transform of the resulting image, because it requires 3D information, namely the depth of objects in the scene. This effect is known as perspective distortion.
next week, lessons in why car tyres are re-touched to look round in photographs, and why Telivision adds 10 lbs to peoples bodies.

the lines don't help they look like they were drawn using a short metal ruler and they don't really line up you can see where they end and start over again. BUT the boards apparently work just fine for a sport that's timed to hundreths of a second so if someone is that critical(like wtf?),just don't buy one.

When I skate, I lie down on my board and sight over the tiny point on the nose to tell where I'm going, just like I do with the barrel sight on that big American gun that all us Yanks have surgically grafted to our right hands at birth.
Fortunately for skateboarders, the part that matters is that the truck holes line up so the board goes straight. Whew!

I saw an earlier prototype of the Answer when I was in Deutschland a few weeks back, and I agree with Goad's assessment--sick. Ultra light, very clever and elegant in its use of materials, and the open-ended design is both versatile and functional. And you know ol' Donald knows how to make it bad-ass looking as well. And the trucks...wow.

I love opening boxes, especially when stuff like this comes out...beautifully crafted Subsonic Pulse 40s in Carbon and Octane orange with tiger stripes....grrrrrrrrrrr! Ideal to go with the Virage LDP trucks....now if only I hadnt gone and sold them all! (more coming very soon thankfully). Life is good when stuff like this is made by great niche companies. Will be on the all new, singing and dancing Octane Sport website very shortly, but if you can't wait email me.
