Yesterday we've had a big Freestyle Contest in Paderborn, Germany. HERE ARE THE RESULTS
1. GÜNTER MOKULYS 2. JARI PAAKKARI FIN 3. YOYO SCHULZ --> injured, skated for points only. LOL 4. SEBASTIAN HEUPEL --> Rookie, his 1st contest ever! Sk8ted consistent 5. GABOR MISCHLICH 6. LUIS MAX ESCARATE SPA 6 STARSKY ---> the showman as usual. Bunny outfit and everything... 7 ULLI SCHÖNBORN 8 PAUL BAKKER NL --> injured, skated only one run. 9 JAN KUPPFER 10 MIRKO 11 STEFAN ALBERT 12 PIERRE GEISLER 13 VINCENT HEPPNER 14 MAXE JEBLICK 15 BAYRON LAWARENCE ENG 16 ERWIN SHYTHOT NL 17 HENRIK WLDERA 18 MARIO WOLLNIK 19 ERIK JAN TILLEMAN NL 20 BART BRUNNINGHUIS NL 21 MONIKA PASEKEL ---> yes, the only girl Freestyle skater in Germany 22 BERNHARD KUEMPEL 23 FLORIAN SCHUSTER Here is something that Jaari wrote this morning: Hi, everyone! I don´t know where to start, but I can definitely say that I loved the event. It was great to meet other freestylers and chance skating with them. The weather was not so good, there was couple rain showers during the contest, but that doesn´t seem to matter and someones was even compete on a small plant of an dry street under the tree about five or six metres wide on each side. There was 24 competitors in the contest. Starsky was like a showman what I mean he was like wearing as a soldier in his firs run and second run he was like wearing a kind of pinky bunny. Günter was doing tricks consistent in his runs as always. Ulli was doing spacewalks so smoothly. Yoyo was doing really fast skating and of course his signature trick Yoyo plant and different versions of that. Gabor Mischlich was doing incredible tricks like carousel and 50/50 sidewinder transfer and whatever. Sebastian Heupel, yeah it was his first contest, I think and still he was doing relly well and came to fourth place, I suppose. New young talents were showing there too like Maxe and one guy, I don´t remember the name, but from Hamburg and only 14 years old. Paul Bakker made to the contest, but he was doing his first run and couldn´t skate the second run, because of the back problems. Now I´m still in Germany and you won´t guess where? You see I´m in Yoyo´s work office right now and todays evening I will take a flight back to home. I think we´ll get some footage on the net later and results I think will find on GFSA website later so someone could post them here. Oh and I want to say like this public that I want to thank you Ulli and Yoyo for their supports and hospitality. It was really nice to meet again and discussing about skateboarding and everything, I really appreciate it, now what I mean this is something I´ve been waiting for and now it´s really happening. Thanks for every people I met in the contest. Thanks for beeing there and yeah, I think freestyle is really coming popular and much more people are interesting of freestyling, which is nice, because like this contest it will give more promotion that what the freestyle is all about. Untill next time, Jari

Sunday's jam was more fun than a barrel of Carrasco bros. Going to start a fund to buy Bob Staton an alarm clock and a GPS system! Talk about being late and getting lost to a place you've been before ! We had some spectators stay and watch for quite a while, it was very cool. Soon to be released " Caught on Video, "Holl Gone Wild " A 20 minute video staring "The Professor " formerlly SGT.Holl Flatland Freestyle featuring the " European Wheelie " "THE FLAMENCO" " Shock and Awe " and many more tricks. As a special bonus, Two board Tricks !!!! "The Elephant " Polish Dark slide transfer " and many more! Send your bribe money to: The RuMoUr MiLL , C/O Rengstorff Park Sundays 10:00am on. Skate on.

Rengstorff Jam today was Hot...although a slow start since most everyone was late we had 15+ skaters at one point. Bob Staton made the drive up from LA with three guys that were real good. OJ, HC and Ravitch skated too. "Orange" Julius and I skated from 9:30 until 3PM....needless to say I'm beat tired. Robert should have some nice photos (if you ever post the photos of me on the scooter or doing two board tricks I'm going to have to quit skateboarding). Highlights...too many but one will stick in my mind...OJ landing his first 50/50.
later, Gary

Re: Casper Classic II
Thanks for the announcement. Checked out the website listed for more info. Looks like they are still adding stuff since many of the links don't work yet. One question --- what is the venue in Pasadena? There is a floor plan on the site but no where was a venue name or address mentioned -- what am I missing? I will list this on the SK8KINGS calendar and hopefully the event website will be updated soon. Also -- the press coverage for 54321 -- heard they pulled the plug on that show recently.

Marcio,
I can think of a few places that have freestyle clips on the Web.
www.tommyharward.com has a bunch of clips from Tommy Harward, a North Carolina pro who rides for OutLook.
www.oustbearings.com has some clips under the flash version of the site. Go to the riders section and click on my name for some freestyle clips or Richy Carrasco's name for a clip of him spinning many, many 360s.
www.skatekings.com has clips of Richy Carrasco, Primo and Diane Desiderio, John Pope, etc.
YOYO Schulz also has clips on his site. I think it's www.yoyoskates.com
Hope that helps.
