hi i just wtched the powell 1988 video Public Domain and i noticed that rodney mullen was very skecthy but my question is do people still consider him a freestyle skateboarder oh and will some people show me some freestyle moves

Benihanas are not a flatground trick. It's kind of an ugly looking jump ramp trick where you launch straight grabbing the tail, but keep your front foot on the board and your back leg kicks way out behind the board.

If anybody out there read the excellent Thrasher 'King of the Road issue', you would have seen references to a trick called the 'benihana'. I'd never heard of this trick before. Can anybody out there enlighten me? Thanks!

I don't think you're actually skating for Powell, in case you didn't realize. I think you've joined they're online skate community more or less.
Nonetheless keep up the freestyle.

Popol, first off you need a newschool Freestyle setup for yourself, you know where to get one..hint...hint.
As it's Freestyle, you can do whatever you want.....as the name implies: Free-Style.
