Please will somebody find a indoor venue somewhere in London with smooth floors so we can escape the drizzle. And maybe even build a few ramps! And yes I'm aware of Platstation but its always rammed....full of popsicle riders

just wanted to throw out a shout to our fellow skaters overseas and let you know we are in the infant stages of preparing for the championships. we are expecting a few of you to come over and race with us. charleston is the 4th most visited city in the usa from western europeans and a holiday with the family just might be in store for you this summer. you just have to convince the wife (lots of shops) and the kids (nothing but an ocean to play in) and yourslf (the chance to be a world champion!)-so hope to see you here. need any help, just let us know. see www.streetrecords.com for more info.

Dave T, I'll bung them in the post. Mail me your address. Deal is 1 local skate shop sticker..thats all. They are used, but my highly polished ones have meant they are surplus to requirements. If your down in Poole check out The Skate Shop for spares on Lazers...they have tons.

The weekend starts here... Comin up from the smoke tomorrow is my skating (as in in-line) buddy Tinge Krishnan and we're off to The House. She won a BAFTA in 2001 for best short film (called Shadow Scan, it was repeated on C4 only a month or 2 ago.) Im gonna ask her if she can sort out filming the Sheffield Fest for t'laff. She's comin to it anyway, so shouldn't be a big deal!
IS THIS GONNA RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC CCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or what?
Michael... cant wait for Tuesday so we can get these cones on the road!
Word to the entire UK Conical Crew.

Dont want to take any traffic away from you beautiful people but Badass has a new site and its ever so clever, simon gunning is just a golly wiz on the zx spectrum theres lots to play and do (well there will be) but its forum a gogo in this party so get your badly packed kebab (tush) down to www.badasskate.co.uk and submit some stories of sexual exploits of urethane and pleasure, I have and i tell you it changed my life, well almost.
Onto another subject why is it that life is full of T.L.A's (three letter acronyms) tvs, hsc, dvs, std, gti, abc, dhx,
3 cheers for the gun a ning ning lets get it on..

Slalom (oh no!! Cones)

Tracker cones stick to about a 60° ramp on concrete so you should have no problem. If you need cones let me know and you can borrow mine at any time.
We used to do catermarang slalom at Greenwich, before it was banned. Great fun at about 30mph. Good for the clothing industry, keeps them busy.
Looks like we are assembling a good bunch for Sheffield. If anyone needs a lift please contact us for help. If we have room, your in.

we'll have a go at a banked slalom at Stockwell on Sunday (weather permitting) if I get up early enough. By midday the place gets too packed to move. Now where do I get cones with suction pads from ? Mog

All the news, right here, right now, coming at you LIVE from where it's all happening. You saw it here first etc etc. Yeah, mike sent a bunch of cones up for us to play with. You missed a great night! And no alcohol consumed ;)
smokestack - we're but wee rookies at this game. next time I think I'll set up a 5ft offset course. I think we ahould also have a bunch of other races at the same event ... how about doubles catamaran?

whoa hey ! Could this be a sign of things to come but the slalom forum hit 20 posts yesterday and the European forum hit 27 posts relating to slalom. Unfortunately this was probably because the great cone debate has at last hit our shores!! More to come....
(In anticipation of some well priced decent slalom cones)

most stupid thing i ever used for cones were my pads and helmet (you can see where this is going). basically i was a bit frayed of skating the bowls at southsea sp one afternoon (this is in about '86, so was riding either a vision hippie stick or zorlac gibson with tracker sixtracks and oj2's - not an ideal sl board))so loosened my trucks, wandered up onto the old slalom run and laid out a course for a laugh. anyway took about three runs before cockiness utterly set in, so with a massive scoot from the top flew down going really well until i hit my elbowpad, which of course was just right to suck under the wheel and stop me dead - well the board anyway, the rest of me flew about 10ft and landed in a heavily grazed thud! happy days!!
