Clingster - summer might be the best way forward... it will take me that long to get a setup and learn the moves! In the mean time I'll be laying the foundations with a few tentative demos and practice runs. We'll need your help for that too!

GRS We can help. We have cones but the timing is experimental, however we can have a back up. Give us notice and we will be their. Lets make it part of a UK series. How about one in the Summer

Chris@Lush... I'll be going down the House on Sunday so I'll float the idea to the guys there. What would be great would be if we dragged some of the London crew up who have all the slalom gear and have done it before! Martin Drayton is the obvious name, but then all these guys on this forum could do the job in style Im quite sure! Clingfilm, Paul K, Michael Stride...? Fancy giving us a hand up here? I havent done a slalom course in more than 20 years and that probably involved fizzy drinks cans... But Im game to try it out and get behind it

rich - I think we should get this indoor meet off the ground in the next few weeks. People will come as they are guaranteed a dry event! when can you speak to The House? I can't skate for a week or two since a bit of a snowboarding accident ...

The meeting is for those who wish to help out organising, so do not post everyone. We would like this list to advertise comps etc. Chris

Chris, being South Bank Boyz, I think all newcomers should be initiated by jumping from the railings onto the sand...You can't call yourself a South Bank Boy till you've done it. Mind you, i'm not jumping again, (my ankle, my ankle)...then we should retire to the Testical Ball,(Festival Hall) cafe and play with all the salt shakers, and mixing them with the sugar. Did we REALLY do that when we were younger? I think it sounds like a brilliant idea to meet there first. Michael Then the pub....

I sugest the Punch and Judy in Covent Garden. Most people know this, Sunday will be quite.
My propsed agenda for the meeting:
Introductions and details of what individual, organisations can/wish to do; Set up of UK skateboard Slalom Association; Shedule planning and locations of 2002 season; Role allocation for organisation, publicity, logistics, sponsorship etc.; Funding; AOB.
If you can not attend please forward comments on these or other subjects for me to raise on your behalf. Hope this helps and see you there.

Hi all,
i come back from Zurich on the 5th of jan late night. I should be able to come but i wont know until the sunday i think.
I think it would be a good idea for every one to write down any ideas and details relevent so when we meet its not just a piss up down the pub as for me its an hours dirve to get to you guys.
Whatever pub it is can someone find out the name of the road so we can find it too.
Look forward to meeting up and putting our heads together. I have alot of ideas i need to run by you guys.
Who is sorting out the permission for CP?
let me know
