Mog, take a brush. Not too difficult to sweep after this lovely weather. We skated the racetrack where we first met. Up the hill from the stage. You may use my chalk marks.

Airflow make some great decks that you might like. Try Urban boards and look at their sky hooks, it sounds like you would like them.

Slalom boards

Mwanawimbi,
Slalom boards are very subjective to personal riding styles. In the good quality (can handle abuse) I might suggest a Comet. Or since you are close to Chris at Pumpkin (Swiss), maybe he can make you a deck to your exact specs. The Pumkins can handle abuse too. The other swiss decks are great too. If you can find someone with a bunch of decks (like me) maybe you can ride differant decks and setups before you buy.

If you find yourself in south florida, you`re welcome to try any of my decks :-)

Slalom boards
On 3/28/2002 Mwanawimbi wrote in from (212.198.nnn.nnn)

For the English-speaking people, here is my question: I'm looking for a good slalom board, for an urban use and, maybe, a true slalom use in the future. This flexy board should fit my pretty heavy weight (80-85 kg) and not be too fragile. I'm not looking for a first class slalom board, but rather a good polyvalent one.
Any idea on what I should buy? Any advises? I don't know much about slalom boards, and they are rare here in Paris.
What about the Swiss brands?

Thanx for ya help.

Micheal which bit of palace did you skate?
Is the old race track passable yet last time I was there the gardeners had left mud over the whole off the old race track which was virgin smooth concrete only months before.
Was going to check it out tommorrow but you could save me the cycle up the hill.

Don't give up on Bude yet, there is a layby we are checking out.

If you have amendments to the calendar I will alter it once I know. I do not have Gravities www address to check. Remember the dates are not always fixed as permission may still be pending, so the data is always what I have.

We could hold "outlaw" events where we just turn up, skate and be damed. A bit risky for people from abroad, but if there is a location with no security we can be pretty assured. If we do not get permission I am sure that we can do this at Palace and maybe Hyde park, or other parks close by.
If you would like a Euro series lets make Brands one, provisionally one or two at Palace, Aviemore and Skatenstone. Where else, and can evryone make Aviemore as there is the Airflow comp in Switzerland? Also what about thew Italians etc?

I'm away till Monday. How about Palace then. I fancy a fast slalom and try some longboard slalom. If Mike is around it would be good to try the timing kit again.

I've been in contact with Doby and he will come out to play if there is a good day, he was away on business last weekend. Remember to contact Chris, Jim and Leon as thhey are not on the net.

Mike, Chris would like a Turner deck, are there any available? a Medium will suit him.

HI guys,

i tried to get a slalom race set up alongside the bude downhill but they are having allot of trouble with the local council and have told me theres no way they can set up a slalom race.

What they did say though is that they are looking to hold a bude slalom race possibly this summer.

Is anything going down this weekend any meets, london way?

If you see the calendar there may be enough events soon. I have applied to Crystal Palace for event permission and am waiting. I am hope to find a venue at Bude, the guys down there are working towards it. We could make a Euro series.
Let me know of any events I have not listed. I'm still confused about French events.

pour revenir au planches ,je sens que tu reste attire par les europeenne et vu que t'as un bon gabarit,je te conseillerais bien une fibreflex response 4 ply(pas 3!!),je la connais bien puisque j'en ai une;c'est des planches assez robustes(mais faut quand meme rester humain avec...),tres efficace en slalom,pas chere et pas degueulasse a regarder(enfin ça c'est selon les gouts);le probleme est que c'est une deck us;

slalom boards
On 3/26/2002 mwanawimbi wrote in from (212.198.nnn.nnn)

(dear English fellows, the English version is coming soon, you will also be asked those silly questions.)
