Wow, Arab. It sounds like you have done your homework, although I certainly wouldn't have known all that about early Hobies. I'll soon post a photo of my father's board, from the summer of '66. It definitely doesn't have a sticker. In our family stickers never stayed on products. "If they want us to display their logo, they can pay us or at least give us a discount." However, I've always thought it was a Hobie. The picture of the Super Surfer wheels seems familiar, but that board went through, at least, three sets of clay wheels. I'd really appreciate your feedback, once I get the picture up, on whether the lam pattern is of original Hobie design. I'll let you know when it's up, on the Vintage Gear Page. Thanks.

Has anyone seen this item on E-Bay? Item #1153151127, Hobie Skateboard vintage wood lam.
I looked at this board and I truly don't remember Hobie ever making one like it. I first became associated with Hobie in 1964. Possibly the board pre-dates me. If so it would be very rare. On the other hand it could just be a home made board with a Hobie Surfboard decal. So far I tend to believe the latter. Most of the old Hobie skateboards that I am familar with had a decal that said Hobie Skateboards, not Hobie Surfboards. Do any of you collectors have an answer to whether or not the item is genuine?
I doubt the seller knows either. This is not a slight on him.

Looking for a vintage slalom deck, to fit with Gullwing HPG IV and Sims Pure Juice II (the 62mm green ones) Must be good condition. I weigh 175, don't like huge amount of flex, never much cared for G&S, have cash. Larger than average board would be nice for my big feet. What have you?

When I was sponsored by Vigor, I was told it is a prototype and the only one to make it to America. Vigor does not sell these commercially. I dont want to sell mine but I'm getting surgerory on my shoulder in a few weeks and will have to quit both my jobs (bouncer + catering) since both jobs require a healty shoulder.
btw you should see how it looks from the inside out. I have yet to try on a helmet that allows you to see out better.

Vigor Prototype helmet.yellow. CoolMaxFoam - inner foam stays cool if kept in an ice box before use. L.A.P. custom made faceshield made by Richard Landingham. Faceshield is constructed of same material used in Indy car racing faceshields. Tinted yet keeps vision very crisp. NEVER fogs - breath as hard as you want!
Helmet has NEVER been crashed and is in great condition.

For sale or trade. Unfinished (bare wood) deck only, never ridden. If you haven't seen it yet, a pic of a complete can be seen at www.geocities.com/te_services/ (as was previously posted in Decks). The deck has small cracks in the outermost ply due to the severe bending angles, but this appears to be cosmetic and not structural. I'm really interested in trading for a set of Randal Downhills, but I will consider any other offer as well. (Seismic 135's could seal the deal really quick, too!)
