Powell Mini Cubics

Does anyone have any mini-cubics hiding in their garage or storage spots? These wheels are tough when replacing bearings but are great for sliding. They have a good shape and you can slide them with ease and control. When you slide a soft wheel it is hard to maintain momentum after the slide. You almost stop, even when going fast while entering the slide. With a wheel of approximately 95 durometer you have control during the slide and can still maintain some speed coming out of a slide.
I hope the wheel manufacturers are reading this!

Highway skateboards slalom and downhill boards

In the past few years I have been inventing and pressing my own skates. These boards don't look anything like a traditional board from the 60's but rather a board that utilizes the physics of truck design.
My slalom board turns almost at radiuses like a street skate but with a wheel base of a long board. it is extremely stable (up to speeds of 40 mph on 7% grade) and carves like a dream. I have set into 4 wheel slides at 30 mph and it responds great.
My speed board is truly a board dedicated to just going fast. It is dead stable up to any speed that I have done on it and I am planning on steeper testing as soon as this blasted snow melts. So far it has been tested on a 7% grade and I ran 42 mph. At this speed i was in the lowest possible tuck position and not a wobble to dream of. dead stable and very fast.
Both these boards will be available in the spring of 1999. We can be found at this years Slam City Jam in Vancouver. Any questions please e-mail me. I am looking for 1 or 2 competitive downhill skateboarders to sponsor in the coiming season. If you think your fast drop me a line.
