Hey Richard,
I set up a Powell flame (large vert ramp) deck with 215 Independant trucks and Xtreme Wheels off road wheels. I am very happy with performance of this set up in all but very rocky conditions. If you go that way most any decent skateshop could set you up.

Request your thoughts and advise on the best options of mountain boards that may be available to purchase a great adventerous mountain board for my son. What may be the different types and what may be the added riding value and cost of these various options?
What may be the best cost and place to purchase one and get it shipped to Montreal Canada?
With best wishes.

Hello fellow longboard enthusiasts...My name is Bret and I'm with Venice Metal Gear. Thanks for the interest in our boards. At VMG we have set out to make the boards we have dreamed about. Rather than just cut a slightly different pattern, slap on the standard B-2's and screen our logo on...we decided to produce the kind of boards we wished we could find. Our metal boards are crafted from solid 1/2" aircraft aluminum. And they are heavy...but they are also a ride unlike anything else out there. Our aluminum design provides a feeling of control, stability and momentum that can't be achieved with other boards. The aluminum has shock absorbing properties that are remarkable. These boards aren't for everyone but for those who find it's right for them, the weight is really a great feeling. For those who prefer wood, we make three models incorporating an innovation we call The Strongback. The VMG Strongback is made of 1/4 inch aircraft aluminum that is set into the board flush with the surface and runs from truck to truck. It provides really excellent control, stability and shock dampening. On all of our boards we have incorporated handles into the design. These not only make it really easy to carry the board...they make a great way to grab the board and pull a tight turn. We chose eXkate 201's for all our boards (with cherry bombs for metal and turbos for wood)and they work great with our design producing zero wheel bite. I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm looking forward to reading your comments here in the future. Bret

Yo Scott,
What the @@ is that supposed to be? I take the time to go to your page and follow every single link on the site, and nothing tells you a $*&@!^$ thing about what the trucks are supposed to do other than the fact that we'll be amazed at the performance and quality. Now, here's a novel idea. Put some $*#$*%@ info on you page.
