Not that's *very* exciting news! Please post more photos when the shaping is complete. What street is it on? Is it free municipal? Will it be just for skateboards and inlines? Can you share a model or plan overview? Can you tell I'm eagerly anticipating a great little park? I like Breaking Ground's website, and your posting the construction status here has me believing the surface will be smooth and right. Will the park be 'open' before Spring? I hope you're joking about not much going on. All the construction sounds great! I wish something like that would happen around here. I am truly jealous. When we head up north again in May I hope to have more energy than last year to do more skating. I am really sad about the Ballard Bowl and I'm glad we got to go. It truly is a great little bowl. The northwest is seeing more dirt moving and concrete being laid here and there. With Carnation/Milton/Ballard going strong, it's hard to know where to skate (tough problem, I know). Ballard is still on the chopping block, and Airspeed is currently designing the replacement. Grindline opted out of the design process, due to weird rule that wouldn't allow the designer to build the new bowl. Strange I know. So Grindline is waiting to bid on the project. Sasha, and all those who came up and skated the Ballard Bowl, savor those memories. Because it will probably be gone in Jan. '05. Mukilteo YMCA is getting a 15K square foot Grindline park, grand opening is November 6th. http://grindline.com/cgi-local/view.pl?view=mukilteo Arlington is getting a Carbondale style "capped full pipe" due to be finished in January. (50 minutes north of Seattle) Bellingham (near the Canadian Boarder) is next on Grindline's list, and should break ground soon. There's a new Park in Vancouver Canada that I'm saving my pennies to go visit. It has a 18 foot diameter full pipe.... Port Angles (on the Peninsula) is getting Washington's first Dreamland park. Should be interesting. I heard rumors that a bowl will be built in Bellevue, which is near where I work. I'm really stoked (lunchtime sessions!). I'm a member of the Skatepark Advisory Committee for Seattle (SPAC), and we're working on both Ballard's design, and a new park near Green lake (Lower woodland). Apryl is the new hottie for sure. I've never seen a little girl rip a bowl or vert ramp like her. Arab hooked her up with Vans a while ago so she's got Gail Webb as her right hand "man". It won't be long before she's beating both Lyn-z and CB. As a side note, CB got totally ripped off at the Triple Crown finals. She deserved first for sure. I did a write up on it for sgmag.com a few weeks ago. They edited it and added some things, so read it with a grain of salt..... Ft. mini-snake run bowl setup. The design build is by Breaking Ground Skateparks. The bowl will be approx. 8' deep. This will be ready in another 3 weeks but the official opening will be next spring. This is a breakthrough for skateboarding in Connecticut, where the common denominator is modular ramps on old tennis courts.     Rate post 187501 ! El Gato STILL rips and does those quite nicely. As for Harada, the construction crew must've replaced the pool coping already. Trust me... MSK, Brad Edwards, Jesse Parker, and the rest of us were mortified when we saw the huge chunks missing from the coping. Then, to actually watch the bike riders come in there and destroy the stuff.
