Wow, i just heard about the cut on fees. Cool, $5 after paying $25 membership fee ...remember what it used to be? Those were reasons why i stopped sk8ing there. They were just ...whats the word i'm looking for? Oh yeah, greedy and over rated. Now that they noticed that over charging wasn't the way of bringing in the sk8ers I hoped they set examples to other Co.
Well now i can go back and have a good session. Thanks VANS ...for showing how much you care about us.

the bust factor at the germantown ditch is ZERO. Cops are always up there in the back parking lots, but after 5 years of skating it i havent been told to leave once. Keep an eye out for an extension up there in a few days.

Great to finally meet you to Jeff. Glad your son had fun skating the ditch. I went back on Sunday morning and had a great session....was able to get up on that blue curb for some 50/50 grinds.
Below are some pics from both Saturday and Sunday. I will be posting some more pics and some video clips as well.

Damn a free pintail for a house warming gift, Thanks Joe. I never blamed anything on that pintail, s#@! I won the Bear on that thing. It was my first ever longboard. 8 months before breakage sounds about right. I have never had a shortboard last that long. The only reason it broke, or was torn apart was hitting a 2 inch bolt sticking out of a plate at about 25-30 mph. Yes Joe house warming pool party is Sat at 7pm.

Being a resident of the Montgomery county area for several years now, I finally made a pilgrimage and hit the Germantown ditch yesterday morning for the first time. Wish I had know about this place sooner...it is actually 10 mins from my house. Got there very early...around 6:30 am and skated until 8:30. Great way to start the day...
The ditch is a blast to skate! Not too long or short, with perfectly banked walls with some fun hips to boot. Crete is smooth for the most part, there is one or two cracks.
This obviously gets skated, as there were about four parking curbs with several coping bars. Did a bunch of 50/50 grinds and slides on the metal coping bars. Hucked a few micro backside airs off the hip, although there was a small puddle of water near the hips...so I could not make full use of them.
I rode my trusty 33" Beer City DP replica deck setup with big soft Kryptos and Indy 166s. Perfect setup. Was able to get some good speed traversing the walls with those Kryptos. Tried riding the ditch with my Gravity setup with s#@!fires and it was not as fast or smooth, so soft wheels were the better choice for riding.
It would be cool to have a DC/VA/MD/PA ditch jam here...so any of you area ncdsa'rs looking to skate a fun ditch, let's try to make some plans before the beautiful weather we now have here in the mid-Atlantic turns to s#@!...
Here are some pics of the ditch:

ABQ terrain is the industry standard for extreme product testing. Plamer, you are lucky that it was only a ripped board and not a ripped body. And don't try to blame it on the Dregs, we all ride and love that set up for the ditches. The Concave Classic is the ultimate performance ditch board proving that pintails RULE!If you want to get another one, I'll hook you up on Sat. at your Pool Party, just invite me and my 40".
If you want to blame it on a weak board, then hit up your SPONSORS for a more suitable performance deck. Good Luck.

Awesome day in the 'burque yesterday. NM f'ing rocks. Skated for 12 hours and didn't hit a damn thing that was built with skateboarding as its' primary function. (no parks, no ramps)
Negro Arroyo was more than a little dirty, get to work Tony!
One of the stars of the day was Carmel. That ditch has the perfect pitch, perfect trannies, perfect access. The finish is still nasty, but 70mms of urethane takes care of that. And it was CLEAN. Just DON'T FALL.
Stay tuned for stories about "the Cereal Bowl".....
PALMER snapped his favorite pintail 100 yards from the finish of a marathon run from the top of Ventura to behind Lowes (2.6 miles, 20 mins of solid carving, clean). Hopefully it is under warantee.
Sessioning and chowing at the Westside egg was icing on the cake. What an excellent adventure.

As advertised Tuesday was rocking in Albacrazy. Started the day with some wall rides at Black Arroyo then on to a wet 528 ditch(damn). Then off to scout a few top secert pool locations. After that a nice roman hotel pool. After a few more cold ones off to some more ditch action at La cueva and Carmel ditch. Finished up with Ventura from the start all the way to the f#@!ing freeway. 20 minutes of fast non stop ditch riding, dodging rocks and other debris. All great until I hit a bolt in a grate at the end of the run that ripped my board in half from the rear trucks back. Finished the day off with ahi tuna tacos, more cold beer, and a lighted night time session in my pool. New Mexico f#@!ing rocks
