Hey Dano, I'm down to skate those banks with you. Are they loading dock banks? I love those. I'm up in Hayward and can drive down with my son and skate. Evenings or Weekend. Send me an email. Your link didn't work for me.

Seems the deeplinks have been trapped... e-mail me the pics, if you want, and I'll host 'em on that piece of cyberspace we were talking about. Same with the rest of you ABQ mugs... let me know if you need pics uploaded. George; how you breathin'?

besides the smoothness(whoever built these must have liked to skate)the mellowness of the wall angles, the wall to flat trasitions, the length and the possible number of hits is pretty amazing. The sheer amount of great ditches coupled with all of this has me drooling, I'll be down when my leg heals, it'll be cool to skate with people who really like ditch\bank skating, been trying to get people up in SJ area to go to these cool banks with me(10-15 sets of them, 3-6 ft, not huge but very fun), nobody seems to want to go, they are in town and should be no-bust as long as nobody gets stupid.Any san jo people out there send me e-m if your'e interested.

I have the magical combination of adhering/ veneering eyebrows to ditch faces. We have been tricking out a local ditch and putting coping and setting parking blocks and adding many arched rebound lips and various exposed bent metal grind hooks accross the top.
What you need plastering/stucco matel latice corners, chopped fiberglass , rapid set cenment, mortar mix, nylon&fiber netting, aluminum rods, and the very specific private brew of latex laced high strength acrylic polymer
do you care?

You'll be fine, Andre! Your stoke makes up for any lack of skills and like I told you the other night at Whip n Dip, keep at it and in 6 more months you won't believe your progression. I'm jealous; you'll be hitting Indian School ditch soon and I have been meaning to get out there for years. Soon. Very soon.

I'm relocating just a bit east and I'll be right on the Ohio/WVA border; so if anyone knows of any cool anything dealing with skating (ditches, etc. I'll be 20 minutes from Skatopia and not TOO far from Dave G. for an occasional slalom fix) feel free to drop a line. It'd make relocation tons easier. Thanks.

"Slow to respond"... That was my dad's nickname for me. Just ask GBMII. I don't even return that guy's phone calls. Hey George, how ya doing? I heard you took a nasty spill to your side, feelin' better? I meant to call you back a few weeks ago, but (ummm, uhhh, well.....) I didn't have any more skate stuff to sell. But, here, I'm making up for it now by writing this post. Cool, huh? Anyway, Andre, check your e-mail. We need to talk.

Thanks to all who responded...
I feel like I should let you know. I`m not only new to this ditch thing, I`ve been skateboarding for less than six months. (see the Michael Brooke forum). I`m 100% hooked, as is my bro, and we have left our share of flesh and bones on the concrete. This is to say: we suck, but we try hard and push our limits every session we have.
SO, I`ll e-mail some you nice fellas in a few minutes with more details...

Andre, you can email me if you want, I'm usually down for a good ditch tour, as long as I'm not hurt... I hit the bear sat. morning it was nice and clean, someone was nice enough to high light the cap, and one gnarly chunk of concrete(I don't know if it was always there or what I've never noticed it) Indian school is always good. 3 mile is nasty as always, boken down cinder block fence, dog crap ville, tree trash, and you never know what else you'll come across. Anyway, gimme a shout or get ahold of GBMII, or K-Lee, any of us will show you a nice tour, if you don't feed the bear to bad.

So, an oportunity came up for me and my brother to go to Albuquerque in a couple of weeks... Can anyone (K-LEE?) e-mail me directions to the good ones? The Bear and Indian School are big on my list, just from looking at K-LEE`s website. I`m pretty new to ditches, but want something more than the chute. Variety is the spice of life, right?
We`re not afraid to wipe out on ocasion, and since college is only a few weeks away, this will be my only chance to travel for a LONG time, I have to take it.
Good downhill spots are also apreciated. It doesn`t need to be in Albuquerque, we will be on a road trip, D@MN IT! Driving is part of the deal. It will be during the week, so don`t worry about that huge crowd of two (maybe three if a friend has a moment of clarity) taking your spot..
Thanks in advance,
Andre

Definately use the shadows... Also a gausian blur, or a finer trim job (edges are waaaay to sharp for reality). But hot damn, it was a fun shot!

Great job on photoshop! Just some tips to help improve the realism - Be sure to include shadows of objects that are edited in. Everything else, including the photographer, has a shadow. - Use the clone tool, and not the smear tool to edit out the skater. - Scale does matter!! Be sure to scale the skater for the ditch. It's simple to do, and has great results. -Light source also matters. Be sure the object has the same light as what it's being edited into.
Hope that helps!! I love the pic! E-mail me some more, Im always up for some sweet ditch shots!

naw, that's a grinding ditch...as far as banked slalom, Lumberjack had his tall boy coors sitting in the shade, 66 musta thought it was a cone and ran it over. poor beer! I'm about the only one who has skated it in the last 15 years. if you look closely, you'll see cleared grind lips on alternating sides on the way down. I pretty much hit the same lines each time, keeping a clean grind path for myself. other than that one line, it's kinda overgrown on the lips. and rough. but fun.
