I just a new video clip of Bob Burnquist yesterday that destroys what I always thought to be impossible, as if his loop attempt at Baldy wasn't enough. Skateboarding is progressing to new highs.
Mike Moore, email me.
P.S. Concrete wave is on an upward trend, with Bolster, Goodrich and Terrebone. But PLEASE leave Mellow Cat in the pet cemetary, don't revive him.

well, I mentioned that I have Warren Bolster on board. His photos arrived yesterday. Let's just say that Concrete Wave is no "pipe dream." It's real. And it's about to get a whole lot "realer."
We've also brought on board 3 new contributing editors. I can't tell you who they are, but believe me, they are going to move the magazine into the next level.

IT WILL LIFT YOU!!!! AND I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN IT YET!!! But based on conversation with M.B. ...You should just cover your house with drop clothes and/or large sheets of plastic....cause your head is going to explode!!!

Michael, you're killing us bro. OK, from now on you can't wag that carrot in front of our noses without a little nibble. Bad enough you got us all waiting at the mailbox..or scouring the Barnes & Nobles. What is it? You've got "Mellow Cat"???? Curtis Hesselgraves falling tips??? Nawwww, I know..you signed up Jhoon Rhee safety pads as an advertiser. And you got Magnum/Mattel to kick in some of those boards only ridden by Dennis Shufelt in the ad....c'mon...what's the big thing?

Gang,
there are MAJOR things happening out there...some I can't discuss, but trust me, your heads are going to EXPLODE when you see what I have cooking...and what others have cooked...
2004 is almost upon us...watch for the winds of change to start blowing hard....
the opening spread of this upcoming issue is destined to shock a few skaters along with pleasing many...
And NO! I won't tell you what the photo is...suffice to say that it is REMARKABLE

I want some new pads. I figure since I might actually wear them, i'll get get ones. The Charmin's not cuttin' it.
Of course, I'd like to be able to skate again first.
Even more than these? ( lookout, this one's totally sentimental..look away! look away! ): A cure for my dad's cancer. Given that's a big task for Santa, I guess just some pads would be cool. :-) A date with Ashton Kutcher wouldn't hurt either but...not likely...
And for you folks? Pure stoke, smooth concrete for miles, no pain. Whatever blows your hair back really...

Dear Satan Claws,
The 10 things I want for XXXmas are:
(1) To be a Full Time (paid?) Associate Editor for the most killer skate mag on the planet
(2) To be a Full Time Graphic Artist
(3) To stop getting "Penis Patch" spam email
(4) To see Chris Chaput without a cap on
(5) World Peace
(6) Mellow Cat
(7) A harem...minus the "monthly visitors" and associated psychodrama
(8) A dachsund, 8 gallons of Thousand Island Salad Dressing, A plastic sheet, and a bicycle pump...don't ask
(9) A subscription to "Modern Drunkard" magazine
(10) To understand the true meaning of Fondue
(11) A skateboard
Crud...that's 11. Ok...scratch #5

Hey Michael-
I am a huge fan of your magazine, having been turned on to it by Jungle Jim one day by the side of a perfect kidney pool. I bought the copies they had at MR's shop, I bought the next one at B&N (both copies they had), and then subscribed. It was cool the other night sitting with Alan G by his ramp while he looked at his photo in the calendar, but I was wishing I had one. My local B&N does not have the new one.
I subscribed about 2 or 3 weeks before the last issue hit the stands, and did not get it. I posted as such here and you said I was too late for that issue. Now I have not received the new one either. Florida is down here below Georgia, by the way. Far from Canada, but Miami has a really big post office, and it's pretty close to West Palm Beach. Also, our post office in WPB has been totally scrubbed of Anthrax, so it's ok to send stuff here.
Keep it up, I hear it's still great. I hear...

I can't tell you how pleased I am to find that the mag has made it over to OZ.
It's also in a whole bunch of new countries. If you find it outside of the US or Canada, let me know.
This got me thinking...it's holiday season...where would you visit if you had the time and the money?
For me, it would be Australia. Definitely...plus isn't it summer over there.

Well, just started skating again after a 15 year layoff and it's good to be back. Picked up CW in a shop in Torquay, Australia and must admit that it has fueled the fire to some extent. Just subscribed too cause I havn't seen the mag anywhere since. Hooked up with some gear and have now ridden parks from Tasmania back up to Canberra with many more to follow.
Had an idea to put up a website for old school skaters in oz. Stand by for www.oldmanskates.com.au in the next month or two. Hopefully we can get some over thity skaters together to ride bowls and stuff. Big plan is for a masters jam down under in Spring 2004.
Good stuff CW !
regards, Tony Gates Canberra, Oz.
