my advise on wheels are the new 81mm bombhills and randal speedboard trucks i here they are pretty crazy. i ride the 81mm wheels thye are amazing
as far as racing goes cant help you there i ve never done it competitively
noboy really ride enough round here for there to be race organizations

hey thanks for the info "some dude" , right now i got a bomb hills deck with randal 2 on it and some 70mm on it, its pretty fast...u got any suggestions? i wanna start racing but i dont know where to start..

i have been checkin out the landyachtz dingy. it looks nice, but its really small. i have an arbor pintail now that is around 50 inchs. i want a smaller board more for sharp carves w/out alot of wble. does anyone have/riden a dingy? how is it?

i love the drop carve it is an amazing board you can do anything on it but if you have the need for speed aswell and the cash go for the evo or dh race. i myself went for the evo after my drop carve because my feet are pretty big and the dh is narrow hope i helped you.

Has anyone checked out www.epiclongboards.com
for longboards? I see a lot of conversation about
other decks......Maybe this is a missed item....
I am more slalom style sidewalk surfing and got a
custom made 34 inch from em...
Lordy, its like riding a bullet train!
Makes my NOS Makaha Originator 27 inch seem like a
freight train. Although I can carve better on a
27 inch vs a 34 inch.....Guess its my limited skills :-)

wow, i just got a sector 9 hydra with the sidewinder trucks and i was soooo amazed, the carving ability is ridiculous, i mean i fell off many times because of how sharp the turning circle was. After i got used to it i was dodging cars and carvin hills, but i reccoment it to anyone who wants to do some serious carving.
This board is actually a backup board as i am getting a landyachtz evo deck with ceramic bearings and abec 11 97mm flywheels and sidewinder trucks. I am also getting a small sector 9 shorepound for cruising around my local area.
I am also interested in purchasing a Jaguar Ind. Cheetah
Any thoughts on my selections?

Look for good trucks and wheels and a deck that matches his stance. Your boy will grow and need a bigger deck in the future. Check what his friends are riding and ask other skaters for a test ride.

Hye Beer look at 3ringlongboards.com they have the most long lasting and durable boards on the market so your boy can break it in and get comfortable on it but still have it when a wood board or something else might have been beaten up and broken. You will save a lot of money over the longrun. Anyways check it out if you would like and give me a write if you have any questions.

i'm looking for a good board for my 11 year old boy.he likes plan boards and rides at skateboard parks.the board he has now is just a cheap kmart board with swiss bearings.i'm just not shore what to look for there's 100s of wheels,bearing,trucks and deaks.i live in jackson MI.

most important don't get a completed board that is over 3 1/2'' off the ground.
Yes definetly get one with a kicktail so you can tic-tac. I suggest one 36'' long.
59 to 61mm wheels, 75 or 78 duro. Check out Surf-one or Sector-9.

I would suggest a versatile one with a kicktail, so you can find out, wich riding style you like.
I personally would recomend:
Lush Bahari (comes with awesome Holey trucks)
Cravity Carve 39 or a longer one
Faltownskateboards 3.3

Hi! I'm totally brand-new to this, but I'm wanting to try a first board... I'm 5'4" and about 135, looking to pick up a board to ride to class and just learn and play on. I've snowboarded before, but I'm a little clueless on the longboards. What's a good one to start with? What should I know before I hop on and start riding? Any advice would be awesome.
