Touring boards

Eggman,
The board is designed to go over long distances over different terrain. It has an optional odometer and compass. You should give the dude a call I think his number is opn his web sight migrationboards.com. I love my board. Also great to carve.

HOT Longboards
On 4/7/1999 Matt' wrote in from ()

The Hot snowboard company creates 3 longboards (downhill, slalom, all around) under the name Hot Longboards.
The boards are really funny to ride with a great flex due to the construction.
The downhill model is overcap like a snowboard!!!
Check it if you come in France...

Migration Boards
On 4/6/1999 Al Nosh wrote in from ()

Just purchased a "touring" board from Migration Board Co. Great board and fat wheels for rough terrain or on city streets if you use the slick wheelz from Extreme. Is anyone out West able to suggest long relatively flat trails. The owner of Migration toured 187 miles with pack and gear along a canal here on the East coast. Hope to visit N. Cali soon.

Currently Tahoe Longboards are up for aution at www.livetoplay.com. Most of them start at $99 and no one ever bids so you can probably get one fairly cheap. Check it out! By the way....I don't work for Tahoe or Live to Play! I just say them there and thoguht it might be helpful.

Namon,
My board is made by Lake Tahoe Longboards the model is the Tallac 62. I found out about this company by an internet search. I bought mine from thier site at www.tahoelongboards.com. It was to my office in 4 days.I am having more and more fun with it everytime I ride. The bummer is that all my friends want to ride my board and not thiers anymore. They need to get thier own.

Tahoe Longboards Tallac 62
On 3/27/1999 Ryan wrote in from ()

I have got to tell you about my new board. This board is 62" long. This thing is sooo stable, and sooo smooth. It came with Independent 166 trucks and Kryptonics 70mm wheels. I have been longboarding since I was a kid and I have quite the collection of longboards. This one takes the cake. I don't ride the parks anymore so this board fits my style. I skate to work everyday and this thing turns heads.A board of this size might not be for everyone but for those of you that want a true longboard this is the one.

Dregs Biker Sherlock
On 3/26/1999 A.R. wrote in from ()

I just purchased the Dregs Skateboards Biker Sherlock. It is great if you like all around riding. It is only 38 inches which makes it half longboard, half shortboard, but it makes a great ride. It has a kicktail which makes it great for manueverability. Also it has cut-outs combined with invader 950 trucks which makes it turn better than any other board I have ever tried. It has the clear, crystal grip tape which makes it stick to your feet. If you are looking for a board to carve and thrash on, this is my #1 recommendation. Only about $160 in stores, $148 online. Check them out at www.dregsskateboards.com

Tahoe re:LL
On 3/19/1999 James wrote in from ()

LL,
I bought a Talmont 52 from the guys at Tahoe longboards last fall at the Boardriders expo in San Mateo. This board rules. I am 5'10" and 160lbs.I don't know what kind of wood it is but it came with Indy's and Kryptos. I have no wheelbite at all it is a sic setup. My friend Brian just bought the bigger one from Skateworks in Redwood City. We ride our boards everywhere we give them 2 thumbs up. Check them out you'll be stoked.

Gravity 47" Hypercarve/ Park Board 40"
On 3/11/1999 Steve M wrote in from ()

The hypercarve is sooo fast and smooth. It carves so nicley - feels like surfing my mini-longboard. My toddler son loves to ride up front when I'm on the flats....
I just got the 40" for parks and seems a little heavy for vertical manuevers, but it flexes nicely and should work well for me since I don't do ollies, nollies, shuvits, handrail grinds, etc.

Sector9 complete boards are a good choice if you don't care
that they are supplied with US9 trucks. They are best equipped with
randal trucks

Sector 9 Cosmic II REVIEW
On 3/2/1999 Wilbur Kookmeyer wrote in from ()

Just bought one of these boards and I really like it. I personally like it better than the flex dex I tried for two reasons: it has a kicktail, and it is much lighter in weight. It is 4 ply wood with a ply of fiberglass on each side. It is only 38" long but the distance between the trucks is the same as my Powell 44" due to the fact that the front truck is right on the nose. So the 38" length does not bother me like I thought it might. My only suggestion: Do not put torsion trucks on it like I first did. These trucks shorten the wheel base by about 4 or 5 inches which was enough to kill about 90% of the board's awesome flex. Just put on some old indies or whatever, some angled risers, some sticky 70mm wheels, and this baby really get carvin' and pumpin' oh yeah. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a carving board.

Think longboard
On 2/22/1999 Speedy wrote in from ()

I've got a customized board, so if you'r into that, check
out the efects of old school trucks on the old (Eight inch)
Joel Tudore deck from Think. Long, narrow, thin and flexi.
Rides like a cloud! If any one know how to make the wheels
STAY screwed down tight, I'd like to know. Later!

Damn straight your review is biased. It's like Spielberg reviewing his latest Dino epic. Anyone out there who can tellme how these Tahoe boards ride, flex, ideal rider weight, materials, specs etc.

Lake Tahoe Longboards
On 2/5/1999 Matt wrote in from ()

This review may be a little biased because I am co-owner and designer of these fine boards. These boards range from 42 to 62 inches and carve as well as if not better than anything on the market. So if you are into soul carving check out our web site at www.tahoelongboards.com. These boards are as close to snowboarding as it gets. We should know we ride Squaw Valley 150 days a year.

nine plus classic
On 1/30/1999 DAVID MYERS wrote in from ()

Hi i live in Scarborough in England and i work at cool classics surf shop where i bought my nine plus and this board is great you probably haven't heard of this make with them being english but its cool its 43" okay maybe not a classic size but if your familiar to surfing i describe as a mini-mal so its like a cross breed of a longboard and a short board its slight double kick and mine came with b1 trucks clear 65 kriptonics and a very classy clear grip tape
and it rocks i also own a 60" custom local shape by the croft brothers thanks to woody which is why i decided on the nine plus because believe it or not it is a good noserider and that is where i spend most of my time and it only cost me £109 so get one check there site www.nineplus.com and check our shops web page which is great if your are into longboard surfing because we stock stewart, harbour and many other longboard makes our adress is
www.coolclassics.co.uk and check nick the boss who has been surfing and skating for over 25 years p.s we have just got some gravity skate boards in inluding classic, hyercarve and loads more.cheers DAVE.PPS SOD SECTOR9 GRAVITYS WHERE ITS AT
