WOWW , I just took another look at the lush longboard site, I never realised they had the kryptonics wheels on them, they have lots of different options for the boards too, I think the legend with the sweep grip tape in natural would be a great board, only thing bothering me is buying off the net as I dont have the security of a Credit card, is that a mobile number at the bottom of the page! guess when my cash comes thru i,ll email hank and see what he says, ANYONE ELSE on here using these great lookin boards post or email me.........paul

paul, I think the lush legend would be a better board check out there site mentioned below its got gull wings and kryptonics for similar money unless your getting the united very cheap. On uniteds web site it says they are part of the pacer group so the deck is probably good enough quality as they have been supplying low budget boards in the UK for about 25 years and even had a pro model or 2 in the 80s but the lush is better equipped

i was at toys 'r' us yesterday and in the very back was a bin full of old used skateboards. I saw this one that looked like a 70s board. i had to buy it. it is 6" wide and 24" wide. after taking off the very crappy trucks, wheels, and bearing and replacing them with some 149mm trackers, some old really sold krpyos, this thing rocks.i rode it down this nice hill in the presidio by my school, very squrrily. but overall its a exelent board for transportation, and it rips to i'm so stoked!!!! keep on riding david

Roox, they're great for deep surf/snowboard type carves,on smooth tar.My big gripes with them is at the wheels. The bearings feel slow(the curve of the axle may be why,or it could just be the bearings?)and added to that, the 88A wheels don't like any roughness in the tar. They'll skip, slide, and chatter, which makes for nervous turns at the high tip-in angles that this board is supposed to do.However,a quick fix was found by a snowboard coach I work with..Buy 56mm to 60mm,78A or 74A Hockey Inline wheels, and you've got grip and a softer touch on most tar, plus the speed goes up a bit. There's nothing out there that gives the deep turn feel like the Flowlab, and once you dial it in,it's a good placebo for the surfing/snowboarding Jones.

Hi anyone on here in the uk using a united skates cruiser longboard, I wanna buy one and wondered if it would make a good beginners longboard and is a price I can afford :). The spec is: ------------------------------------------ ------------------ Deck: 47" x 8" 9-ply Canadian Maple
Trucks: 8" Raider, Alloy in stone finish New clear super high rebound cushions Wedge Urethane Riser pads Wheels: Zero G "Cruiser" 70mm Super high rebound polyurethane wheels with spoked hubs
Bearings: ABEC-3 precision bearings ------------------------------------- ------------- I also like sector 9 but they are a bit more than I can afford at present, also why do some of the sector 9 seem to have small wheels compared to lots of boards with 70mm.?? Thanks for any help

anyone know the model name of s9's 44" concave deck with the la jolla hills/waves photo art on the bottom? it's not on their site, and norcal in pacifica, ca (where i bought it six months ago) doesn't have em anymore or remember its name,,,regardless, can't say enough about the ease of carving with a concave deck, just think turn and you're there, and a chevy ran over mine (had just bailed) and not a cut, it bounced right under it and kept going without me! sector 9 rocks, but i have alot to learn about other boards, too...

jp, Out of all the boards I've set foot on, the ones that come closest to the feeling of carving the powder would be the G&S Fibreflex series. In general, look for something that has springy camber, get some Seismics when the new ones come out, and do some high speed pumping with your feet placed near the center of the camber's sweet spot. My $0.02

Pre-school rider, (that's a great nickname) I wish I had the answer. Everyone who wants one should e-mail Dan and ask really nicely what's up, I suppose. I have no idea. Dan said in his e-mail to me, "the future of Peregrine skateboards is uncertain at this time". I'd like to think I got one as karmic payback in response to my deep seated lust to own a Turner I can't afford. If I could find one.

I just rode my Talon with Seismics and Hawaii 70mm K's for the first time today. I'm somewhat at a loss for words. If this board is an indication of things to come, the future's so bright were gonna need shades. I keep dreaming about what one of those Pumpkin super bows with the new big Seismics on it might be like. I don't have much to compare it too, but this is the closest thing to the perfect GS board I have ever ridden. I was cranking turns that would of pitched me to the ground with conventional trucks.

Perhaps it is a trick to mix durometers, hard/fast on the inside and soft/sticky wheels on the outside. It could use an adapter to use only one pair of mini-mizers rather than two pairs of standard bearings. Rocks wedging between them is a serious problem, but could be fixed with some filling compound. I suspect Onshore's intentions where simpler, likely used what they had, thought it looked cool, or rolls smoother.

Not to mention, rocks and other debris would constantly get wedged between the rear wheels, no good.
