I like the 24p style better, but not the square screen format that comes with it. The cool thing wuth 24p is that no images are created by the machine. You can do it with a NTSC with some camera feature-fonctions or with a pull back while editing.
Its a personal decision.

de-interlace to get better still frames from the clip or do you just like the 24fps look better?

Desinterlace when filming! It will give a better look to the shots.

Yeer nice pics guys. Nothing wrong with a bit of photoshop as long as it is not createing something that didn't actually happend i.e cuting someones head of and putting it on some one else-although very funny. Photoshop touching up etc is now an integral part of digital photography just like a dark room is for film photography.

This is in regards to the photo of the skater doing a slide. Wow, I didn't realize I would provoke a discussion about the use of photoshop. I did use Photoshop, as I do with all of my digital images, but it was not "photoshopped" (an all too commonnly used word, in my opinion. It's too vague).
You were right Cliff: prefocused, shallow depth of field, but also I used fill flash in combination with a slow shutter speed. One must be careful with fill flash so that a natural-looking balance of light is acheived.
Anyway, Derik, no sweat on questioning my photo. I did use some dodging and burning (the same techniques used in a darkroom) and created some vignetting around the edges (again burning in the edges like in a darkroom). Nowadays, it's good to be suspicious of images.
Thanks for looking at my images. Here is another photo from the same session.
And here is a link to the other photos from that session. Click here for link

Wicked man I cant believe it was 2 years ago-time flys. Definatly would love to see more footage.
Rob and Lee were the first guys we met in SF before we went up to see Cliff in Berkly. It was so funny we were just rolling around and then all of a sudden this big truck skids to a stop reverse back up the road at speed and then skreeched to a stop and Lee and Rob Shout out "Hay do you guys bomb?" we exchanged numbers and then the guys took us out skating all night-drinking beer and bombing hills. Such a good session-definatly sticks in my mind.
Keep it up and take it easy.

Hey Alex,
Yeah man, I totally do remember you guys. I'm stoked you found our new videos! Recently we've just been scouting spots all around the bay area, I've got a list of spots to film, I'm also heading to San Diego next week and will hopefully get some footage of some of the spots I grew up around.

Hi Rob and Lee how's it going? It's Alex here from Faltown Skateboards. Great to see you guys are still hitting those runs so fast-it took me back seeing 19th Avenue! Do you remember meeting a load of english guys back in 2005- Me, Chris, Mark and Tom? You took us down 19th ave and the golf course and that lovely road by the golf coarse-man they were some of our favourit runs of our USA trip and guys were awesome to us.
It is wicked watching your videos and remenising of our time there-you guys ripped then and now your ripping eeven harder!
Say hello to the rest of the guys for us and keep us up to date with what your up to-we would love to hear from you?
Take it easy now
