Isy, We could use one up here for sure. I miss skating with you. Glad to see you racing again. We have a great new skate park here you guys can skate and we have lots of hills around here. We could get Clarkie on Real Skate to post something on her site.
Talk to you later.
Sasha I finally sent the board today.
Gareth if you check this section I sent your brother his Lance schwag.

On another note, are there any ladies/girls in Cali. interested in my setting up a downhill slide clinic is the same type of format the Cliff Coleman does for the guys?
Downhill is like snowboarding, but without the $, lines, long drive, freezing temps and other bull^&^%& with getting into the mountains.....
There are hills all over and downhill is SO MUCH FUN!
All you need is a skate, pads, helmut and GREAT attitude. It's SUPER easy to learn and will maybe save your life one day.......slide or die!

Sasha, I will send that board out today. I had to take off the trucks...Santa Cruz just approved another skate park that breaks ground this spring near the beach. Even closer then the Scotts Valley park. You will have to come down. The best time to go to the new park is during the week when most the skaters are in school. I've been buy on the weekend and it's a zoo.
Sarah I will email soon. I'm looking for a cute helmet for you. Your skating on Friday night at the Cyber brought tears to my eyes. You did great.
Thanks Keli and Lauren for all the sweet Birthday wishes. Welcome back from Hawaii tell your mom hi.

Another girl skater?????? I about fainted when you said Sonoma County. Skateparks are about it.
For slalom-nothing. nada. Me and Norski hit up the Santa Rosa fairgrounds a few times last year but it's pretty much a bust. Golden Gate Park is pretty much the closest place to slalom where you won't get run over or thrown out. If you ever find something, please let me know as I've looked for the last three years and found nothing.

hey ladies from da worlds - you inspire me to sk8 more - mabee i'll nevr be able to compete w/ you but heck i can run cones an i luv it ! so far since we got home we found a new place for the Ottawa sk8park and we negotiated the lease and the move and re-oraganized classes and financing and Claude tore the park down and today our friends here are helping us move ramps - 'tis been insane and we're now gonna be 5 times bigger so Ottawa can sk8 inside in da winter (we have space for indoor slalom too!)
my life rocks!
P.s Lisa: what happened w/ Collingwood? pps. Isabelle C. pls e-mail me re your december predicament; we found a solution... so nice to meet you both! mb

Esther: Go over to the Michael Brookes-Concrete Wave Forum and ask him for some help on your paper. I bet that dude will hook you up with a ton of info or at least point you in the right direction. NCDSA Forum has a ton of the people who actually created the history of skateboarding active on it's various discussion threads daily. I am sure that many would pitch in with getting you info.
Women skaters-You Gals Rock. We had a 19 year old young lady show up at our regular night longboarding jam session the other night trying longboarding for the first time. Before the night was through she was carving it UP and bombing too! It was great to see her stoked about this "new sport" she found. I am encouraging my 11 year old daughter to get involved as well. She still in that phase where she thinks that the fact dad is still skating at age 41 (soon to be 42) confirms what everyone has always said..he if a lunatic!
Roll on Sisters! You all rock! SCHOOL'S OUT

Esther, thats awesome that you are so stoked on skateboarding! I was reading you post and in my opinion... a 10-20 page research paper seems a little much for longboarding... even skateboarding in general... You could try that though: the history of skateboarding that would be pretty interesting and awesome! But then again 10-20 is a lot of pages... especially since there arent many books on it. Well good luck! Lauren PS that is indeed Sasha La Rochelle from Gravity... hAvE fUnn!

Hi! I just got my first longboard a few weeks ago, and ever since i've been pretty obsessed. i'd just like to say this is the COOLEST websit!! and also, i was wondering, is sasha the 15 yr old sasha riding for gravity? cuz if so, that is SO AWESOME! anyway, i have to do a senior project and we have to turn in our idea proposals by friday and i was wondering if it would or woudlnt be a good idea to write a 10-20 page paper on longboarding, would that be hard/too technical? or hard to research? cuz there doesnt seem to be too many books on it in the library...

First, everybody should skate as fast as Noemi Reichel. Holy Cow. That Super G hill was sooo fast and sooo long. It blew away Hood for speed and out-of-controlness. It was like coming into our Pump Station at 25mph, then bombing straight. Judi, I always like to race you cause it's anyone's race. I'm glad you made it to this and Breck. Three Women's divisions! Jr and not-so-junior. Lauren, I was kidding in the truck. You skate beautifully. Keli, BIG style improvement from last year. You are getting fluid power. Great job at the cyber. Sarah, you are too cute. You keep skating with your bro and you will become great. You're not afraid to beef. WoodCamp! You guys are really cool. You girls need to find an underground parking lot. You've got the fire. Terry, thanks for all your help with coaching, timing, kids. I still wish you'd skate. You scare me.

She was encouraging me all the way and what an inspiration! And Lynn was rippin it! Lisa was doing so well! She just wanted to be out there to have fun and cheer on her girls! Elisa and Katii havent gotten so fast! You guys rock! Watching all the girls and Women was so inspirational and is what really put the icing on top of the cake this past weekend. Thank you chickas for making slalom not just a boy's sport. sK8 ChIx RuLe!!! Lauren
