Thanks, Cliff! I remember watch this video in th early 80's...Some videos of street style always have a slide part. I almost cry when i see that again! By teh way, I couldn't g to Qix Pro...maybe next year.. When and Sergio came to Brazil, call me to teach us here! Thanks again! p.s.: Here i found, at web, more slide videos?

Rafael,
The guy in blue is Rich Dunlop. He also did the stunt sliding in "Thrashin" and "Gleaming the Cube". The guy in white is Chris Iverson who still is in charge of research and development at Powell.
Brazil was great and I want to visit again, especially Floripa.

This weekend I was driving up in the "Hill Country" of Texas, Stopping and skating just about anything that had a slope to it. By the way I am jealous of all you "Texas Outlaws" out there, some of these places we found were trully awesome. Any way comming back to Houston Sunday we were caught in some really nasty weather, the kind that forms tornados. I was slowing down to about 50 because the visabiliy was getting kinda bad, when we were hit by a heavy down burst which spun my jeep around and as I was trying to get control of it I was going 50 miles an hour 90o to the highway and all I could think about was that I can't slide my board wery good but I've got Surgio beat on sliding jeeps.
Now if I can only get a tornado to start forming every time I try to slide my deck, maybe I could slide alot better.
Sorry about the double post.

hey cliff, Hope all is good with you? Any plans for a trip to the uk this summer? Recently accquired one of your decks on Pocket Pistol thru our good friend Mr Stride and cannot wait to take it to the hills. Firstly it requires a super custom grip job and stickers before leaving the legendary `shed`! Look forward to seeing you again for nore fair weather antics! Take care and speak soon. Great news about your new slide skills! For really smooth slides, remember to keep your eyes way down the road.

finally made and tested those slide gloves that school and work have kept me from for the past four months. bad ass! it was very strange at first to go from grabbing rail to no hands, but i picked it up real fast. at the end of my sesh yesterday i was pulling coleman slides like butter (not exactly in controll all the time!), and i am already sliding way faster than i was when i was grabbing rail. thanks for the help and incouragement for getting rid of my old crappy style of sliding.

Flounder,
The skaters in the Bones Brigade Video Show are, Chris Iverson, Todd Hastings and Stacy Peralta. In the following video, Future Primitive, the skaters are, Chris Iverson and Rich Dunlop. Rich Dunlop also did the stunt work for Thrashin and Gleaming the Cube.
Hope that helps, Cliff Coleman

I have been wondering this for twenty years. I thought maybe somebody on this forum could clue me in. In the second powell video there is a big sliding segment. This video part is still to me the raddest part in a video ever. I've always wondered who in the hell were the guys doing the sliding. If anyone knows please post. Thank You in advance.

Fabrice,
Brazil was great fun. Sergio is a good Team manager. I like Florionopolis in the South and want to go back.
I got a request to possibly judge the event in Paris. I would be proud to do so and am working the details out to try and get there currently.
Send me your phone number via my e-mail please. "sk8fast@gmail.com".

Are you going for the slide contest in Paris? Sweet! Will be a blast. Hope Breamo will send us there...but last time i spoked to him it was a negative answer. The hill aint hard core enough...actually, there aint no hill.
Ill probably be there anyway.
Had a good trip in Brazil? Everything was ok over there?

Rene,
I just returned from Brazil. I was there for a month and got home two days ago. In April I plan on going to San Luis Obispo, with Jonny Miller, for a skate /slide festival. In May, I'll be in British Columbia for a downhill race and a slide contest. Claude wants me to visit his side of Canada in July. I'm now working on visiting Paris for the slalom and slide contests there. Life is good Rene.
Talk soon, Cliff
