On 4/24/2006 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (67.161.nnn.nnn)

Mark and the rest of you guys,

I will get in touch with my friends regarding how I will be arriving in either Seattle or Vancouver. I'm flying stand-by so it may be easier to fly into Seattle? If so, I will then be traveling with them on the ferry and riding in their car. I will try and see who can pick-up any who need the help at the airport in Vancouver. I will contact them at "Coastlongboarding.com". Follow the thread over there and also e-mail me directly at "sk8fast@gmail.com".

Thanks,
Cliff

Let us know your plans, all the best for now with love from your friends in Cornwall.

On 4/20/2006 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (67.161.nnn.nnn)

Mark,

You and Dom can stay at my house. We then can fly together to Danger Bay. i can get some discount tickets to fly from SF to Canada through my brother who works at United. If you guys stay long enough, we might be able to travel to Albuquerque and ride the ditches also? Danger Bay is going to rock! The slide contest will have a lot of talent and the party is always a blast.

I'll give you guys a call,
Cliff Coleman

Extra time on the 'Coast
On 4/18/2006 Smitty wrote in from Canada  (154.20.nnn.nnn)

Hey again!

Last year, Rizzo, Flindt and a few others stayed a couple of weeks past Danger Bay. There were sessions all over the Sunshine Coast every day...So if you can stay, plan on wearing out some wheels. Our main highway out here is totally skate-able, and Pender Harbour is the only place I've ever seen where the locals wave as they pass (with more than one finger).

Truly blissful skating. Jake's Rash, Misery Mile, Ruby Lake Drop, Garden Bay Road, School Road Hill, too many to mention.

Also, some of the locals have been seshing 'Carnage Corner' on the race course...you guys better bring your A game, cuz the SquamBomberz (Squamish, BC) are fassst.

Fabrice! I heard you need a place to stay in BC...
On 4/13/2006 Smitty from CLBC wrote in from Canada  (154.20.nnn.nnn)

Definitely low rent, but you are welcome to stay at our house in Gibsons before Danger Bay Five. Gibsons is on the Sunshine Coast, about 45km from the race/camping location. You would need to get from the airport in Vancouver to Gibsons (public transport does this), and as long as you don't mind large smelly dogs, we should be able to handle it.

There will be HUNDREDS of folks going right past our door on the way to Pender, and we will be going up Thursday or Friday.

Hit me with an e mail if you need more information. Good skating here in Gibsons...Patrick Rizzo skated our scariest hill when he was here last year.

Looking forward to seeing all you cats!

Sergio's slide contest
On 4/13/2006 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (67.161.nnn.nnn)

Sergio now lives in Florianopolis, Brazil. This is where his contest will take place. It is a beach community on an island off of the Southern Coast of Brazil. It is much like Hawaii there. Good weather, beaches, rock climbing, mountain biking, surfing, skating, fishing, snorkling, scuba, you name it. Plus the most beautiful women in the world live there. Look it up on a map. I might even retire there?

Check Concrete Wave's book on the History of skateboarding. You can also Google Cliff Coleman. There is information on NPR, in books, on the BBC web-site, etc, etc.

Good Luck, I'm flattered,
