As long as we understand eachother, thats all that matters to me. I dont like to be between your friend and you. I always had, and will, have respect for what you are doign.
Enough said: we agree on something: we love skateboarding for many reasons.
Now, please, go out there and have fun for me, for us, cause we would all do.
Long live the divas and the true soul riders.

"Ooh. And Isabelle, if you think The Industry never said anything about you...i have some surprises...but like you said, i learn not to trash talk so ill shut up on this one. Go ask your self.
Freeriding, miss. Freeriding. You dont need nobodys help to come out with the freeride of the Diva, dont you? I respect you for that. But when you come and protect the industry like that, without knowing the facts (cause you dont), it makes me laugh."
i'm sure plenty of crap has been said, but that doesn't i skate anyway and thanks for reminder me that you know the facts and i don't.
regardless of my perpetual ignorance, sergio is a kind gentleman, a great skater. i am unable to protect anything but my sense of integrity towards those companies that have and still do support female skaters in a still male dominated industry,.........i agree to disagree, so you get the biggest laugh? i'm out to skate loretta. SLIDE FEST is ON and i wish every slider could come to skate, but that's not possible. c'est la vie

Precision on the Yann's ticket thing

History of the deal
1-"yes, it was suppose to be our team manager who was supposed to get you the flight ticket" M.B. blaming his team manager
2-"He was out of the office for X reasons, so we didnt knew you didnt had a ticket" NB: Yann had emailed them all quite a few times the weeks before the slidething, so, well...
3-"We want you to come so we will fix this"
4-"Can you pay for the ticket? We will pay you back in some sort of way"
5-"We will pay you back with shwag to bring back and sell so you can pay back your expenses to come here"
6-"Too expensive for our budget" : this was yesterday afternoon. 2 days before the contest...
7- NO NEWS TILL THEN
Do you think its respectfull? Do you think its fair? Do you think its normal? I understand the budget thing, but 2 days before the contest and after yann took days off to go down California?
Yann has a life other than skateboarding: il est ingénieur! He had to take off Monday and Friday, and now he is at home losing his time and money. Do you think its normal? The wind is always changing directions in the sea industry...and its not new to me. Been there...more than once, and still suffering from it.
So if you think this is trash talk, tell your self it was at first a trash move, and we dont get the chance to protect our selfes from this to happen, cause we have no $ to bring these guys to court.
..and after we get the "respect the industry for what has been accomplished for sliding...
HAH!
Anyway. Just wanted to be precise. And NO, i am not the victim this time: ITS MY FRIEND WHO IS AND I WILL STAND UP LOUD FOR HIM!
Basta!
And YES, Yann will talk about it one day. He is just patient, more than we are, but not stupid. Beware of the little man, Industry.

Pfeeeew i am not alone in here.
I second his motion.
I cant believe we get the TRASH TALK ATTACK when we got our self offered the TRASH CAN before.
This "industry" makes me sick, and even more violent toward it, so i guess, in the skate world, closer to the roots of skateboarding.
Another story is gettin writen at this moment: Yann, Gravity rider, is still waiting at home for his tickets. The industry asked him to pay for the ticket and the industry wanted to give him shwag so that he could sell it back in Canada to pay back his expenses...it was a missunderstood, they say. Always the same music, just different lyrics. BULL! Its the biggest event and the industry is not making sure all of its riders shows up? Wow. Sponsoring rocks! Lies lies and lies. Again, i am sorry if we are using public forum to express the truth behind a certain scene.
I wonder how the goverment would appreicate such way of doping business.
Remind me of the cowboys and the indians: "...give us mirors give us mirors! We will give you all of our fortune! Oh, and dont forget the blankets with all the dicease in it so that you guys can iradicate our society..."
I am happy as a free rider not to participate in such way of spreading the stoke to kids.
Slidefest my ass.
Ooh.
But when you come and protect the industry like that, without knowing the facts (cause you dont), it makes me laugh.
Ill shut up, but in my own way.
Peace, im out skateboarding.

i find the opposite true. many people out there in skateboard land like to keep this ""IMAGE""" of how cool and squeaky clean they are on the outside while on the inside they burn people and are ugly and dark. this goes on with business owners the world over in all action sports. i think people should not be condemed for standing up for what they believe in. sometimes the truth hurts. sometimes it stinks. but kicking it under the rug or putting one of those smelly tree de-odarizers to mask its true stench is more trashy than calling a spade a spade.
these are million dollar companies that are not going to be hurt financially by their own shame. image over powers truth. the x factor of how cool someone is will be the key in the majorities' judgments. but i personally believe that its priceless to stand up for the truth, like a light in the dark, even if it means no one will like me because of my ""uncoolness" . but i know, those that truly know whats going on will respect me for my uncomprimising morals and standards even if all i recieve is a smile and a nod.
i sleep very well at night.

Glad you like your new gloves, I'm sure you'll give me an earful about the puck options after you've worn them all out(a few days maybe!) Have a great time at Slidefest, and save some legs for riding the ditches when you and Mark get here. Kaylee and Nyah have a new house with lot's of room they are offering to you guys for your stay. You would still need a rental car, but with SO MANY places to hit you'll make good use of it I'm sure.
David Price and I would love to have you come up to see Skate School if you can. Have a great time in San Diego!! Give Isabelle a hug for Isa and I!!

Learning your namesake slide from you last June has made skating fun again for me.
Thanks, Tushar

I'm really looking to have a great time at this years SlideFest! I wish all of the great Brazilians could be here also. they are something to see for sure!!! I brought Mark Short here from the UK to be able to introduce him to the rest of the slide family. He and I are talking with Tony at the moment and then might flirt with the ladies at the corner coffee shop. Not Mark however, he's happily married. Some things I just have to do by myself. Mark was here before earlier this year with others from the Faltown Mob. He will have a few days to get over jet lag and then on Thursday we fly to San Diego. The talent from all over coming to this event will make it a memory that I will cherish.
Good Luck to each and every one of you this weekend!
Mark and I need to get some skating in here in the wonderfull Hills of Berkeley, CA.
More later, Cliff Coleman

This is a reminder for all of us to look in the mirror. It is not necessary to talk trash about peoples attitudes here at NCDSA. Please save it for personal e-mail. Sometimes what many think is going on in the industry is just not the case. People get upset. Remember, the only one we can control is the one in the mirror.
Thanks, Cliff

Can you explain me what is the problem with the big heads like Will J bashing everybody who has not his level?
Will, i have the cassettes from when we where in SD last year, i can tell you something...you did got better, but your attitude got way down man. So down it stinks and kills your skills.
Beeing proud should not be beeing a big head. Start by respecting the poeple around you...
Whatever if your from the hood or the bayou, you still are the biggest deception of 2006 for me and all my fellow brothers from up here in Montreal.
No worry Cliff, you deserve our props mate!

The Slide clinic itself was small, a small number of students. There were more sliders who already had SKILLS and for them we had an impromptu contest. Only one run to level the playing fielod a bit. With that kind of pressure, you had to be on when it counts. Some of the great sliders there couldn't complete their one run and dropped out of contention. Will Jay of Gravity won, 2nd was Eric Tokle and third was a new comer and young guy. His name is Dylan Foley. Will Jay took home the $100.00 and others recieved schwag.

Fitz,
The knee pads you describe are made by "Tracker Brazil". Not the same company as the original here in the States. They are Sergio model pads and he will be at this year's "Slide Fest", 11-04-06. If you make it there, ask him about the pads.
