We now have 88 sign ups, with racers from all over showing up to represent. Who will BLR be sending to represent the baddest team on earth on the best hill in North America? Anytime, Anywhere, Any Takers?

Just spent 20 minutes watching the video feed from Wavehouse....over twenty-five unsuccessful attempts at simply dropping in. Finally, a boogieboarder takes off and I figure he's gotta make it, after all he's lying down. Swoosh, gone, see ya. I asked Hackett if the water was so cold that you really needed a wetsuit. No, he said. It's for the slams. Now I see what he's talking about. Is it really that hard??

Ricker:
Think hard before you post next time. The gods may condemn you to a life time of hell fire and brimstone. I think that is what they claim the bible says. But I know that Hackett and his crew are very forgiving and extremely slow to anger.
Good to see you now know the meaning of humble pie. You will surely go places.

I didn't mean anything serious. I was just joking around, calling you out Hackett to do some downhillin. I was very psyched to meet you at Indian School this year and I just wanna be one of the boys too. Granted I am still young and have to earn it. Next time I'll just let me riding speak for me. And Mitchell, I really didn't mean to offend you. I am really thankful to have met you and been able to skate with you a few times. You seem like a really easy going guy, so Im sorry to make the other side come out.

It is great to see this discussion on here even though it started out the way it did. Showing respect for other people has become in a lot of ways a thing of the past. For me, I will never ride at the level of a Mitchell, Cbark, Hackett, Mollica, Olson, etc., etc. I am newbie basically returning to the sport that was my first love in the 70's and it has been awesome to get to know all of the people that I have met so far. For me, treating people with respect has helped my re-entry back into it and gain respect from many of this same group. Along the way I have made some mistakes but have always tried to live up to them and call myself out on them.
I know it sounds corny but we all can be full tilt go for it all the time competitive as possible but still show that we are people that actually care about the RESPECT deal. I played rugby for several years. In every game I did my best to be the meanest, badest, toughest, person on the field and beat the tar out of my opponent but after the final whistle we all shook hands and partied together. Skateboard racing reminds me of that. We all are trying our best to be faster than the guy in the other lane, the person in our Class, or everyone on the hill, but after it all is said and done its time to chill, hang out, and have fun...because to quote Racer X "Fun is the name of the name of Game."
Rock on bros.

ok, let's ride. respect is a touchy subject. I went off fully becouse I have been dealing with alot of respect issues, and yours was the last straw, so to speak.I blew things out, sorry. Here is what I think: showing respect while at the same time kicking ass and standing up for your own is a tough ballance.Self esteem is a good thing. Ego is the by product of self esteem, and most find this an admirable trait to posess. Super high self esteem= egomaniac.

I love skateboarding. That's that. I do have respect for the people who have made it all possible and who have paved the way for the next generation to come. I just gripped a Deathbox Hackett pro board five minutes ago. As a kid I always looked up to the older crowd who shredded like no other.
Ego on the other hand doesn't do it for me. I was just playing when I called you out to go downhillin with me. Coming back with at me swinging below the belt was uncalled for. As well, my reply was over the line. I apologize. I guess I got what I was asking for so I'll just leave it at that.
