Mukilteo TS and Park Slalom Race 5-21-06
On 3/23/2006 Stryker wrote in from United States  (71.112.nnn.nnn)

The Mukilteo Tight Slalom and Park Slalom Race will be held on May 21st 2006 at 10 AM at the Mukilteo Washington YMCA.This will be two seperate Races. So enter one or both.Seperate Points for the 2006 CSA Overall Championship. The Tight Slalom will have the starting ramps and be a 45- 50 cone Race. Dan Hughes has told me that he would help set the Park Slalom course. This will make for a Challenging Race.I'm not racing in the Park Slalom. So I can devote all my efforts to running that part of the event. So mark your calendar. This will be a great day of racing. Hope to see you there. :-) John

Too many races
On 3/23/2006 Deano wrote in from United States  (209.181.nnn.nnn)

I guess it is a sign of the popularity of our sport when a racer has to choose between races. Sometimes it is tough to choose which one to go to. Sometimes...

Unfortunity you picked the same weekend as the Maryhill race.

Should be fun. Sounds like they are still raising money to pay off the park. So the money goes to a good cause. 10 bucks to sign up at 9am.

April 23

If Ridgefield is not a go maybe we can do the flat land thing. I noticed there is some new construction at the end of our road and was wondering if that is why the city is slow to respond.

CSA Race Schedule
On 3/15/2006 Paul wrote in from United States  (64.5.nnn.nnn)

Hey Dave B,

I think April will be Ridgefield Washington(about 5 north of Vancouver) on April 23rd Sunday, Mitchell is awaiting approval from the city of Ridgefield,

May will be May 7th Sunday Salem Soap Box Derby, Bush Park.

June will likely be Pat's 2 day event in Salem, date to be determined.

July will be Hood River July 8th and 9th if my memory serves me correctly.

After that will be a Mukilteo YMCA T/S and Park Slalom in the Seattle area, as well as another "Combo Plate" hopefully, Probably another Ridgefield race, maybe a non-vert park slalom and maybe one more Salem season closing event. Those are all speculative at this point as far as dates as far as I know.

Adios-Paul

Thorskidoodle's 100 flat cones
On 3/15/2006 Paulskeewogle wrote in from United States  (64.5.nnn.nnn)

Hey, I AM FULL-ON INTO THAT!!! If you don't mind, I'd be even more into it if the course has offsets, S-Curves, a few sub-6ft(I won't expect the 4ft'ers) and other technical features(100 straight is sorta boring but I'll do it). Plus that way I can use my Radikal since flat tight is the only situation where I use it and thereby resolve the cognitive dissonance caused by having such a spendy truck and not using it. -P

If it's dry at Mt.Tabor on Sunday morning, I will set a nice 60 cone GS course through the S-turns and down the straight. We rode last Saturday afternoon for a few hours with no hassles. Most folks stopped to check it out. Lots of picnic spots, great view, and it's FAST! Anyone want to go really fast?

Vanc. Spot
On 3/15/2006 Thor wrote in from United States  (66.213.nnn.nnn)

Pat, The spot I am refering to is along the Dyke along the flush out channel between Vancouver Lake park and The Columbia river. Just follow Fourth plain out all the way to Vancouver lake just before you get to the park the road turns to the left. You will see the flush out channel on your left. If you park in the secong parking lot on your left and walk up to the trail you will see our regulation cyber course already marked including start and finish lines. This is a great spot for flatland. Surface is fast, smooth and perfectly flat, great scenery, and enough room to set 200 cones or more.

100 cone flat land slalom
On 3/14/2006 Thor wrote in from United States  (66.213.nnn.nnn)

If this sounds gay I understand. I have this spot in Vancouver where I used to practice cyber slalom and have always wanted to do a 100 cone flat land cyber slalom there. Totally no bust factor, nice views of river and mountains with lots of cows/bovine to cheer us on. If Ridgefield is not a go would anybody have any interest in doing this?
