Hope to see some new folks and old friends there! Anyone coming from East Bay to SF, you will be able to use the Bay Bridge to get to SF. But the East-bound direction of the bridge is closed all weekend, so going back from SF to East Bay you will need to use another bridge (or combo of Golden Gate to San Rafael-Richmond Bridge). Thanks to Rich for orchestrating the whole thing. It was great meeting everyone-- can't wait to do it again! As a matter of fact, I'm buying some cones today so watch out! Also thanks to all the guys for jabbering the entire time with eachother-- I slipped in ahead of everyone and got at least 4 runs to their every 1 !! After skating nothing but steep mountain roads since 1975, I am having the time of my life running cones! P.S. It still amazes me why so many people have yet to discover slalom racing, (spectators & participants) OR just refuse to embrace it for one reason or another. EVERY single person who walked by our course was in awe of all the skateboarders who were running cones. They took pictures, hooted & hollered, clapped, and congratulated us on every run! I have been sk8 this area for over 9 years continuously and know where all the good safe spots and not so safe spots are. If your into Sliding, Slalom, Speed boarding, Streetluge, parks ditches pools even freestyle hit me up. A group of us usually gets together every Sat morning near Bernal rd to practice Slalom. On 8/14/2006 Rich Sayers wrote in from United States  (64.168.nnn.nnn) Conservatory Drive in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco -- they close some roads on Sundays for the skaters and bicyclers to use them.   Slalom and downhill sessions starting at 1:30 pm on Sundays August 20 and September 3 (Labor Day Weekend- so you will have Monday to rest your sore muscles).
