Brady, I don't know about the rolled rails, but the shape you're after may be something that Chuck Barfoot (Barfoot Designs, look'im up) may have waiting for you on the shelf. Most of his decks are surfboard-shaped, already and a few have that tail and rocker you're after.

I`m looking for someone who can shape a surfboard style deck for me. Something like 50" with pointed upturned nose, rounded down side rails, squash tail, and drilled for trucks closer in than normal. Maybe with a more pronounced rear stearing. Hardwood with stringer preferred over plys. Get the picture?
Anyhoos, if someone can do this for me, or knows someone who can, please hit me up...

Have it set up with Sh*tbird Cranksters(66mm,95a) in back, and 65mm 96 No Schoolz in front. Is there any reason not to use different wheel setups in front and back for bowl skating? It rides fine to me... but if anyones got any setup advice psot or email me.
I've only been out carving bowls twice on it. Just had mega $$$'s of oral surgery... been too wacked out on painkillers to do much but look stare at it.
BTW, tailwoody's DO NOT fit this board, due to concave. Had to cut mine in half, then hand-sand some concave onto the tailwoody to get it on proplery. Lots and lots of elbow grease, dont recommend it. Wood might be good, but plastic can bend around concave easier.

Question about dropped speedboards

Whats up with lowered decks like some kebbek boards that have a platform levelled to the center of the pivoting point in a truck? Is this better than other lowered boards like the DH Race or the Evo, whom's platforms go far lower , even below the axles?

Chris, drop a line to John Gilmore...He is the expert, and has probably drilled more Turners than you or I have ever seen. Paul Dunn would be the other person to ask.

Drilling holes in a Turner/Ick

Has anybody out there ever had a fiberglass/foamcore board crack from drilling hole for different wheelbases?. I have an Ick drilled for 2 possible rear settings and 3 in the front. I cant see how this has weakened the deck at all, but i know most turners and icks only have one set of truck holes drilled. Is that just to make it look "pretty"?.....or has anybody personally had boards crack from multiple drillings?....

Tammy,
This Kryptonic board falls into the "toy" category. Lots of us in here started on toy boards as they were all that was available 30 years ago. If you want something for your son to roll around on the driveway, this board wil be fine.
If you expect him to be cruising the neighborhood, skating parks, etc, this board will be frustrating. You would be looking to spend more along the lines of $100. Or you could ask for some good used equipment on the Buy Sell Trade board.
Regardless, get him a helmet. Here is a good package deal for the Krypto board; http://www.fogdog.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1981626
I have a 9 year old son, email me if you want help

Blake -- Often when the locals are slow to respond to queries like this, it's because the topic has been discussed so extensively and nobody has anything fresh to say. I just ran a forum search (Tools > Search) for "landyachtz dh" in the Decks and Completes forums, with Entire Archive selected, and came up with 100 hits. There will be more, in which this precise search string does not appear, that you can pry out with a little snooping.
More and more it seems like this forum is becoming a knowledge base rather than an active discussion group.

Agentofslide, if you run a search for "G&S" or "Fibreflex," I think you'll find that these are long-time favorite boards of many people here. Well-made and thousghtfully designed products from a family-run company that's been around forever.
