I had these things. They made them for both loose ballbearing and sealed bearing wheels. I remember that there was no better way to tweek your axles than to put these on. They did make a set of Bennett or worse GT trucks real wide.

Some old baseplates,had as many as nine holes,or even extended slot for sliding the truck front to back for wheelbase changes i.e freeformer,i imagine these got crooked very easily.Nine holes would br in lets say a "California Slalom" there was a large four or tracker pattern,and a large three or "Chicago pattern" this shared two of the holes in the"Tracker Pattern"with a centerd third hole, then their was the small "Sure Grip" pattern a small four hole pattern that was a throw back to roller skates,some small ACS trucks the 430 had only this pattern,i think 500's had a universal base 650's had tracker patterns 651's may have had the universal base as well.

Those extenders are very cool... but his starting price on most of his stuff is too steep! Too bad, I'd probably put a bid in on half of it!

What a great idea!:)i don't know about the originals,i will know soon though,count me as an Ebay maniac,i bought a set from none other than Steve Caballero,who got them from Corey O'brien,they're due here between tommorrow and monday,all i know is with the strokers i built i can go out and shot a five sec self portaits, with carves that could never be on anything else,the lowness and looseness are unbelievable,they pump from a stop on a 42 inch board most of which is wheelbase.Blades,i don't know; maybe on a sail board next winter.

These things could be right in line with strokers... when I was a kid and they were available, no one thought much of them... but now! maybe these blades will be the same!
Seriously though... I just think they are unique and just odd ball enough to be worth hanging on my wall...

Raided the folks basement for my old gear this weekend...all there still. Road Rider 4's (nice), Pacers with the big bearings, Rad Pads, two sets vintage trackers (full and six), several busted plastic tracker baseplates (worst product in skate history), original square tracker bushings, unfinished birch pig board, 60x12" bomber longboard with wheel cut-outs, wide indy's and 70mm orange Kryptonics, ice blades, and the jewel... nearly NOS condition Gullwings, original everything and ridden twice (didn't like 'em). Probably won't ride any of it but nice to look at again.

I`ve got pics of a local spot that was a pool behind a vacant house...aka the "Rat Bowl" in south Florida. The town had it filled in with dirt. Now all that the kids get to do is throw rocks at cars and tag buildings

I was in the South Bay area today and had to drop by the ol' Vermont Drop. I remember skateboarder mag. had pictures from there including pictures of it's demise.
On film it always looked so big. It was, I guess, considering the wheels ridden in the day.
I took a couple of photos today. I should take those, and a few other pictures I have, of dead, classic skatespots, and make a web page.

I rode those puppies might still have one in the bottom of some box in the back of some closet somewhere.
They seemed to have cast iron parts as best I can remember. Fond memories of clunky (metal to metal) cam action that you'd rather ride than carry 'cause they had a pretty good heft to them. Needed lots of lube too, don't ride through water or you'll rust. All that on a Bruce Logan EarthSki and you had something that should have stifled all interest in fluid riding. I have since on to a 30 lb. steel deck (the bomb) w/Z-Roller trucks and some old Bones to up the ante in the weight category.

Lansing, Nobody answered your question, so I'll give it a shot. NASH has always been the leader of the toy, Toys 'R' Us, KMart, WalMart side of the market. It's strangely admirable that they constinue in that role to this day. However, in the eyes of any true skateboarder I've ever known, Nash is, was, and probably always will be mass produced "junk". As for the "Duke" Board, in question, some old scammer found a clearly old skateboard, bearing a likeness of the Duke, and assumed he'd hit the jackpot. Wrong. Toward the end of Duke Kahanamoku's life the rights to his image were freely and heavily sold to many products, which is a whole different shame. Anyway, I just thought you deserved an answer.

I recently got the tackers and snakes at a garage sale for $10! it also came with a sims pure juice-like deck...Thrift shops and gfarage sales are gold mines!! The green snakes are about 65mm and slide like a charm yet are extremely grippy.

Sheesh...since I posted somebody bid $1500 for this thing, and it turns out the guy has a reserve *above* $1500!
Seriously, folks...what is up with this board? After all, it is made by NASH, and doesn't look much different from the many, MANY other Nash and similar-era boards that fetch between $25 and $150 max. I'm just having a hard time believing it is worth $1500 at all, and now to find out the guy has a reserve that is even higher...
I asked this before, but does anyone know what the deal is with this? Just curious, mind you...I'm in no position to drop $2K on a skateboard, and even if I were I certainly wouldn't drop it on this!

Seen them in magazines,ads,never in person ,anybody still alive that's seen how(if) they work,they look like some primative torsion truck based on regular sized bushings(brrrrr,shivers)or maybe cam activated.Real flat turning radius under 45deg.

Remembering stuff isn't my strong suit! My brother has a set that I will take a pic of next time I see him. These ones are full old school skate wheel size (aprox a 65mm cube) A very nice lime greenish sort of color... just like other snakes I've seen except for the color.
