That's good news from G&S! Any chance of a new model that's wider than 8 1/2"? Something in the 10" to 10 1/2" range would sure be sweet.

Does anyone have any information on how to order these wheels? I've got several unanswered e-mails to Chris. I don't want to bug the guy, but I would like to give those wheels a spin.

A larger version for giant slalom/carving based on the response is in the works and should hopefully debut by this summer. It'll gap the bridge between the smaller classic models and the current G&S lineup. The construction will be similar as the classic models but a thicker laminate will be used for more support and control.

The deck has a camber of about 1/2inch. The trucks in the photos are old school ACS 650's, although I've also tried the new indy 101's with soft bushings (blue powell or old school rubber) and the Seismics 135 w/ silver springs. Both of those trucks are great alternatives.

"The foto's leave alot to be desired..." OTOH, so does this kvetcher's spelling of "fotos" and "a lot."
Personally, I thought the pics were very cool, and I love the preview of coming attractions. Does this board have any camber? What kind of trucks are those in the photo, Carve maybe?
I bet this will generate some excitement at Morro Bay. Which sounds like it's going to be an exciting event regardless.

Lets back up; First, I’d like to thank Debbie Saili and Larry Gordon for accepting me into their design team and giving me the opportunity to help them create a new slalom board. It means a great deal to me, having practically grown up riding and racing fibreflexes in the 70’s in Europe. I ‘m honored that Debbie is giving me credit for the design of the deck and calling it the “Attila Aszodi “ model but, more appropriately, it will be called the “ Response” instead. We are just thrilled that a new fibreflex slalom deck in the traditional style and two of the classic designs will be available very soon. For those who don’t know me here’s the scoop. I’ve known Debbie for some time now and share the same passion for the classic fibreflex decks which resulted in talking about the re-issues of (2) initial models, the “classic slalom” and the “cutaway”. Further, in light of all the excitement about the ressurgence of slalom and slalom events, Debbie asked me to help her design a new slalom deck with the classic G&S overtones trusting my skating background and my fascination for these boards and also my 20+ years of experience as an artist and photographer. Morro BAy will be the first major event I am entering in almost 20 years and I am so stoked to even be there. I would be happy to finish in the top 20. I feel that this deck will help me get closer to that goal than most of my other classic decks. It will be a great addition to any existing quiver you already have, especially for tighter courses. It will support a rider between 140-195lbs. Upon request It can also be ordered as an undrilled blank and also with an additional laminate for extra stiffnes (riders up to 235lbs). At 28 X 7-1/2 it is also wider than the classics and is more responsive in tight and offset courses. The wider “belly” gives it more lateral and torsional stiffness which also translates into more stability and control at higher speeds. This deck actually feels more comfortable at higher speeds. G&S uses a new type of glass which makes this deck much springier yet stiffer and far more responsive than the old ones. I can’t be excited enough about the introduction of this deck and the re-issue of the 2 classics. Most importantly full credit must be given to Debbie for taking G&S into this new but familiar direction. If you have any questions, please email me or Debbie at debs@gordonandsmith.com. Please check it out the new RESPONSE at: www.members.aol.com/tangochips/gordonandsmithslalom.jpg www.members.aol.com/tangochips/gordonandsmithslalomtwo.jpg (pictured w/ ACS 650’s and Hyper Stradas).

Hey everyone, I am pleased to announce that we have arrived! The final touches are being placed on the graphics and production has begun. I am struggling to get up to speed on web based transanction processing and credit card sales. Please excuse my inexperience in this area, it's all new to me. I am currently the sole distrubutor of all Abec 11 wheels and vendors with reseller numbers can work with me on getting wholesale pricing.
Suggested retail prices for the 50mm core, 78a durometer wheels are as follows:
74mm $33.99 per set of 4 83mm $53.99 per set of 4 92mm $73.99 per set of 4 101mm $93.99 per set of 4
As a racer, I wish I were the only one on the hill with these wheels. As a businessman, I wish everyone on the hill was riding them. It will take a little time before riders begin to discover the true value of their long life and quality, but you will instantly feel their power, control and speed. If a 40 year old fart like me can get on the podium, you know it's got to be the wheels!
Call me, email me, write me, send money. Let's get this party started!

You might want to rethink the motorized scooter/skateboard extreme sport website. First, i don't believe too many people think that motorized scooters are extreme. Second, the whole concept of marketing as 'extreme' has basically died.
The only way to make a scooter or skateboard 'extreme' is to use larger gas powered moters. This will make any schmoe think they can run out and become Tony Hawk. As someone who also windsurfs and mountain bikes the last thing i want to see are more noisy, stinking motorized 'sports' with inexperienced, impatient people 'in control' of their vehicles. This is a generalization but I think most people would agree...people who participate in weekend motorized sports usually have a lack of respect for both the environment and other people.

I feel like the jockey on the fastest horse at the track. Hold on tight, it's one helluva ride.

I am developing an extreme sports website and am looking for venders to be affiliate merchants. I especially am looking for someone who sells Motoboard products and powered scooters. I expect traffic of 300,000 next year at sites I host. I currently receive 8-10% commission on sales generated from my sites. If you have an affiliate program let me know, or if you want to know who can set you up to be an affiliate merchant, I can let you know some programs. The current page I'm working on is located at http://www.christianmusicweb.com/extreme_sports.html
