I still think Vail Pass is the best place to test equipment and yourself just long and mellow with no traffic. Wax your right it does still have some snow and run off but I will be up there tommorow and let you know. Look at 131 around State Bridge I know Lookout's ready and out west Monument National Park Bangs Canyon. The Condos at the ski resorts are empty and the roads at Beaver Creek are sick. Those Speed Vents are really nice I've been on the white 79's so far so good just getting to know each other. It's still early in our relationship and my Goddess of Speed keeps calling to go ride. I still love those wheels. I'm hoping we can all get along. My email is here if anybody wants to go sk8, but I'm traveling to those mentioned hills(and some not mentioned) and don't know when I can check mail. Gone sk8ing

They're not center-set, but more like the Hot Spots, Avilas, etc. Nice wheels, and we'll be stocking all three duro's.

Dan go to links and click the 3DM site, and check them out. They are not center set. I have several sets and have invited you to come skate so get outta the house. Dan if your into speedboarding you need to get up to speed and that means playing well with others. So type about it or come train on the latest equipment on already mapped out mountain roads.

They exist, only in that we've poured them in the past. But we don't currently produce and distribute anything in 72a.

Hills? Yes, there are a few, but fewer that are paved with smooth asphalt and don't end abruptly or into a major busy street.
They're out there to be found, but most of them are going to be pretty rough or at least littered with debris, pebbles & other desert crap (the fine dust that dust storms bring is worse than water in a corner)!
A good, bouncy, sticky, large wheel (68-76mm) works best in duros from 75-85a, depending on your weight, set-up, riding style and budget. When you get here, go to the GRS section of slalomskateboarder.com and post up to the AZ list.

10mm ID, 24mm OD bearing

Anybody know where to get bearings with a 10mm ID and a 24mm OD? I've got an electric skateboard with junk wheels. The axles are 10mm and the bearing seats in the junk wheels are 26mm. I want to replace the wheels with better, but all of the other electric skateboard wheel sets have 24mm bearing seats. A 10x24x7 bearing would be perfect, but so far, the closest I've found is 10x22x7. Anybody out there dealt with this situation? Thanks.

Thanks for all the info. I am more into working the hills and keeping the speed down. More of a surf style. That is why I need wheels with grip to give me more confidence to work the board.
Does a particular diameter work beter than others? My board is pretty short at a little under 39 inches. I don't know if that matters. Thanks for all the help.
PS. I am moving to the Phoenix, Arizona area this month. Any hills in the area worth a try?

Blond and natural boobies. Yes, memories of Stockholm. You forgot to mention that the women come after you (in the states it's alot of work on our part)!
Anyway, I have ridden both on my speedboard and am riding the reflex on my slalom decks. The difference is noticable and difficult to figure out, frankly. For instance, we're all wondering if the soft wheels are better for hybrid. Some Roe team members believe the Pink gummies would be the stuff for GS.
My observations:
1) The pinks seem to hold speed in corners better than the green. This is a two-edge sword: if you want to scrub speed without sliding the pinks won't do it - they just keep on haulin' when the greens would have been scrubbing speed. This is unnerving the first time, as you're used to some speed loss and all of a sudden there is noticably less speed loss.
2) They do hop more than the greens. They may be why you're getting thrown. I've gone back to practicing slides at slower speeds with the pinks to try and master this - but can't offer any hints at this time. I'm not a big slider anyway so may not be the best judge on this front.
Chris?

Currently my set up is as follows:
Gravity Hypercarve, randals with 73mm 78A wheels and a set of makeshift slide gloves.
I am getting better at sliding, and its much easiar in the rain! Yet, I want a set of wheels i can slide with, but not somehting that is unbarable to ride on the roads around here.
Someone told me strikers are some of the best sliding wheels, but im not sure, what do you guys think? and in what size/durometer?

Which wheel would be faster on a hill that is very steep, then sorta flat, then very steep, then sorta flat till the end, and it is pretty smooth, 83mm flys, or reflex gummies? And are pink seven-o's in a reflex formula?

suppoesedly more resilient, that's supposed to mean less traction ,more accelleration, less traction; so concluding with a bit more /easier slide with faster wear, kryptoniky(?)

Hi!
I have had gumballs 78a mounted on a speedboard, and I liked them..all the way until I had to slide them. They made me bail a couple of times..kinda throwed me off the board. I have also had gummies in 88a, and that was really a good wheel for sliding too. Now I wonder, the new pink reflex formula gumball in 77a, would they be any good for going fast downhill..and if you slide those pinkies..will they slide the way the green 78 gummies slide..which I really don´t like..or does the reflex formula make the wheel to slide different?
Sorry for my bad english, I´m from Sweden..the land of blondes with big natural boobies! ;)

how fast are you planning on going? on what quality surface? if you're going above 30 mph or are on rougher roads check out gumballs (super absorbing). if you're doing more cruising and medium hills on pretty good roads check out zig zags (super grip). if you're somewhere in the middle try flashbacks. i have flashbacks on a carving/commuting board and they work great, plus they're pretty cheap. any of these wheels will be a **HUGE** improvement in grip and smoothness over nineballs.

I am new to the longboard ranks. I am an old schooler in his 40's who decided his love for carving hills outweighs the posibility of injury. I have invested in a sector 9 carbon trylam, and use a set of old tracker 6 tracks with doh dohs bushings. What wheels should I use for carving, that will have speed and grip?
I currently am using some 9 balls with a 82a hardness and 62mm diameter. I don't feel confident with these wheels on blacktop paved hills. Any ideas?
I am sure being 6'4" and 210lbs., will push any wheels to the limit. This is a great site...
