I'm new to all this stuff, so when you refer to "Palace" in your posts could y'all do me a favour and be specific about which one you mean. Hoping to meet up with some of you guys in the not-so distant. Cheers.

I know what you mean michael but as with a good drug, in longboarding you always need a fix, you always need more!

Longboards
On 4/11/2002 michael wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

Good idea Lee, I had my 'fix' of longboarding last night in Sheffield. 7 guys in a VW van, following a mad, mad, Rob from Lush. Its 2am and we are following him downhill, he's on a Lush Spooky, Chris does a blocking manouver on an articulated lorry, it passes us, it passes Rob.
His quote was 'I thought I heard a small car, and got a shock when 38 tons passed me coming up to the bend'.
These guys are mad. Us city boys dont know what darkness is until you've ridden the Yorkshire moors.

Hi all,

its great that we have loads of slalom meets but we think its about time we get a load of us cruising some hills.

We will probably go to alexander palace on sat or sunday depending on when people can make it.

If you up for it post a message or send me an email.

On 4/10/2002 jonathan wrote in from (212.126.nnn.nnn)

the vibe this weekend appears to be a preference for the palace...having connected with a photo-journalist who lives right on the park i think this will be a good idea. I know Hyde p is good for publicity and marketying but sometimes ya just wanna run cones without waiting for bladers and babys to get out of the way.
Anyway I'm not gonna be there I'm just sparking this off...

Irish lomgboarders/slalomers?
On 4/10/2002 Sparker wrote in from (194.176.nnn.nnn)

I posted this back at the start of the Europe Form to no avail. But I'll try again.

Any Irish (North os South)Longboard or slalom riders out there?
Any riders fancy meeting up and cruising, bombing some hills or wiggling some cones?

I cant be the only one who reads NCDSA can I?

I won paul but it was really close. He was some french dude and went through on one skate with his other skate in the air for pumping.

I think i might buy some skates and catch up with the black dude in lycra hot pants and his massive stereo!

I DONT THINK SO!

You up for slalom this weekend?

Hyde Park
On 4/9/2002 michael wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

Ahmen to all the positive posts about Hyde Park, I love the fact we had different shop guys, and importers all mucking about. Now, please tell me what it is about cones that makes them magnetic to all the cyclists, rollerbladers and pedestrians?
I loved it when one of the spectators asked how old I was, but in a nice friendly, curious way. I've heard that Lee went to bed at 9 because he was so tired...
