asap means "as soon as possible". Sorry for the shortcut.
Send me more details on your comps in France. Types of slalom, sponsors, where, how to get there. Anything.

Boardfest
You can fly into Manchester, Leeds or come to Gatwick , Heathrow or Stanstead andwe'll arrange transport. Let me know asap.

Brands longboard
I am open to suggestion as this is not really my event. I have proposed a 36 inch axel to axel measurment. It could come down to 34 if you wish.

I have some rules I can send you if you wish but I will post when I have planned events more.

length
On 4/18/2002 michael wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

Hoorah! Just place an order with Chris at Lushlongboards for a 300 metre long board. One push and i'll have won.

And as for Lee calling my board 'peewee' well remember guys his ones are all floppy. They dont come in 'Stiff'!!!!!

The contests we entered were not sanctioned by any French organisation, so I can't speak for the listed contests. They were great fun though, and the French were a great laugh. Sunny weather, good beer, closed off roads, excellent. Hey, if FFF enters a race with me I might donate a 'fastest loser' prize!
Axle distance seems the way to go.

Length
On 4/18/2002 Clingfilm wrote in from (194.154.nnn.nnn)

At the world championship for longboards in North Carolina in June they are specifying a deck length but not a axle distance. What is the point. If I make extentions for my Blackbird I could enter on that!!!
Distance from axle to axle is the only way to specify any lenght as it is this dimension that denotes turning circle, responsivenes and maintenance of speed.

Good to see the event beginning to be confirmed.
Crystal Palace is waiting for the buliders to fnish before we can confirm there and i have applied to Bournemouth Council for an event in June and/or August.
I will post on the slalom site.

French Racing
On 4/18/2002 Michael wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

When i raced in France on a G&S Leemo they started kicking up a stink. They had already dq'd me from using a Turner. It might have had something to do with the fact that Martin Drayton and Paul price had won the previous 8 races or so over the summer.

My advice is to take a series of boards of varying lengths as if you win you will be handicapped by adding length to your boards. I believe the French dont have a phrase for "those English guys sure whipped our ar###s, jolly well done!"

key lime
On 4/17/2002 Scabs wrote in from (66.21.nnn.nnn)

Such madness you limeys can carry on about?? Is a Key Lime a lime? The skin of the fruit, when ripe, is yellow. Well, maybe more like Fibrestrada yellow. though the color of the pulp is definately ABEC green.

Now since my Fibrestradas have seen lots of action on asphalt, the color is more of a puke yellow, if there is such a color.

Have you seen the albino ABECs? Are they a color or void of color? And green Turners.....didn`t Howard once announce his distaste of the color green? (Though mine is both black and green)

And in closing, all wheels are green (w/envy) of ABEC 11s.

Colour
On 4/17/2002 Clingfilm wrote in from (195.195.nnn.nnn)

The human eye can see over 8 million colours in certain areas. However it is not possible to see them all at the same time and is dependent on the surroundings. Therefore you can p**s green and yellow at the same time.
However I would only start to worry if it looks like a green kryptonic.
