That that ramp would definately be alot of fun- liptrick, handplants galore in the airconditioning! But with the ceiling being 6'3" I would have to duck under each beam after walking up the stairs - I being 6'6".

Yeah ven, You`re right. The higher vert has a clearance of 6`3". Could be more but you do with what ya got. The warehouse is 75` from Allen`s buisness and he also has a full gym across the street. The beauty of the ramp, being in south florida, is that it`s got A/C and outa the rain. Skate 24/7 if ya like.

Brickyard skatepark
On 7/10/2002 Glen wrote in from (64.171.nnn.nnn)

Brickyard skatepark is no more.
I have been taking a jr. high and high school group of kids to the Brickyard for about two years and have been skating it myself for about three. Last night I was going to take 9 kids from our church their to go skate. I called them to double check sessions and found the number disconnected. I then called Eddie Elguera who lives over by there to see what was up. He told me it has been closed for a month or so. The kids were really bummed. For some, it was their first skatepark and their favorite. It flashed me back to the feelings I had when Skatercross, Endless Wave, Marina Del Rey and others were closed down in the 70's. Since that was closed I decided to take them to Pierce College to skate some banks. When we got there the parking lot had been torn up and they have cut the bank down a bit and it looks like more construction/destruction is going to happen.
All in all a bad skate day.

West Pam Beach
On 7/9/2002 Chuck wrote in from (65.229.nnn.nnn)

It IS a sweet park...rode there a few weeks ago, my first time on vert in, oh, 17 years or so. My first concrete bowls in at least 20. Boy do I suck now! But the park doesn't! The bowls are smooth, fast, rideable, yes real tile and a decent coping facsimile (not actual coping, but it is concrete). A nice half-pipe too, plus some ramps and other stuff the kick-flippers ride, I don't know what it is they do on them though (apparently it involves attempting tricks, throwing their board, and cursing just quietly enough that the park management doesn't hear LOL). Monday night is old school night.

It's on Congress just south of Forest Hill Boulevard. Yep, that's West Palm Beach, Florida. I'm gonna start hitting it again as soon as NoSkools come out!

Not sure of address but it is the Y in West Palm that sports THREE, yes 3, concrete bowls with real tile and coping.

And the two times I was there (sat morns) nobody was riding them. I here it goes off big time on monday nights "oldschool session".

West Palm Pool
On 7/9/2002 tasos wrote in from (63.57.nnn.nnn)

That's the pool John Woodstock designed. He is another great east coaster who made the "Who's Hot" in Skateboarder in '77 (my favourite year for everything). He is also a great surfer. John, where are you? You've got Scabs and Chuck ready to rip with! (don't forget that Reef Road is right there-the best east coast break by far when it breaks big - i caught it mar last year dbl overhead, 400 yard left, no wetsuit needed, crystal blue waters and a martini at the Breakers afterward)
