Hey! Hope the skating is going well for everyone. We just got about seven inches of snow up here at my school, but luckily we rearranged some furniture and set up some wood in our lounge, so we have a place to skate.
I checked out that Blood Bowl business. Looks rad! I would be interested in hearing any stories.
The main reason I am writing though is to ask if anyone knows of any full pipes in Maryland or Pennsylvania. I live in Maryland, but go to school in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I'd be interested in hearing of spots for both areas. I am willing to trade spots and directions with anyone that may have some information!

P.S. - I was able to fix the problem with the videos shutting down on the KNOWN site, so I added some older videos to the page. Check them out if you get a chance.

NOR CAL LOADING DOCK BANKS WANTED!

I looking for some really nice loading dock banks up here in Northern California (Bay Area). I used to skate Montague banks(R.I.P.)back in the mid 80's and that place was way too much fun.
Hayward, Fremont, San Leandro, Union City, Milpitas. Any good banks in any of these towns?
I heard that Sacramento has a bunch of good ones. Any directions/photos would be cool. I'm down to skate banks with anyone who would be interested.

I wont be home until march 9th (the start of my spring break) so if your around, and interested, Id love to ride lansdowne with you and possibly even get some video footage of you for our next vid (if u dont mind). And im sure that we could work something out for over the summer so that we could get excellent footage for a segment or two. I wouldnt mind a few pointers.

yo "scumbag"?! dude, thanks for telling me about the pool and bowl and whatnot. UNFORTUNATELY i left my boards back home for the winter spell, but maybe ill have them shipped up. Im pretty sure i know where the pool is, and maybe this weekend ill go check it out. what more can you tell me about the wharehouses?
at the beginning of the year id go out riding around 2 am and hit up some of the main streets...waverly ave being my personal favorite since its 4 lanes wide, great slope, and one of the best paved by my dorm. id also ride to class a fair amount, unfortunately a lot of the students here arent quite understanding and appreciative of longboarding, though i have met a few who are.

yo adam i grew up in syracuse....theres lots of good s#@! there to skate...tons of big hills all around you. in the winter time you can skate the pool at burnett park, its drained and may need to be shoveled out....there are also some secret warehouse spots there too.. go to everson and befriend some "street rats" if they are in the know they'll tell you where they are. there is also supposedely a nice free concrete bowl in ithaca, ive never seen it but i heard its alright.

What up guys, I'm Adam from team known, and I'd just like to thank everyone for all of the support and encouragement recently, it means a lot to the team.
I'd like to tell everyone out there that has the opportunity to ride, to keep it up, keep rippin! I'll admit I'm struggling right now because I go to school at Syracuse University and ever since the beginning of November snow has been on the ground and the roads have been covered in salt, which means I CAN"T RIDE! So, my message is to take advantage of the time and places that everyone can ride!
Also, my roommate and I were checking out CKY and we saw a video clip of this dude bombing a hill on a short board on this MASSIVE hill. The guy was streamlining and ended up speed wobbling and biting it hard. Anyway, the point of the story is this...both the road and the buildings in the background looked really familiar, and sure enough, it turns out that it was filmed here in Syracuse, and to make things even stranger, it was filmed on a hill right by my dorm. Pretty insane.
I've thought about bombing the hill, and maybe in the spring once the snow melts, if it ever melts, I'll grow the balls to bomb the hill. Anyway, if you guys have the video, check it out, the scene is about 12 mins into the vid so CHECK IT!
As for now, im out, everyone keep it real, ride hard and just FLoW

Hey all! Thanks for checking out the site and all of your support. Sometimes however the site shuts down due to too many videos being viewed in a certain amount of time. It takes 2 hours to come back up, which I agree is frustrating. We are looking into new ways to show the videos without having to worry about them shutting down. Thanks again! Hope everyone is stayin' warm when they are skating. I just got over pneumonia, so bundle up! Keep ridin'! PEACE -MATCH- KNOWN east.coast.longboarding

Last time I skated Franco was about 2 months ago and there weren't any N/S signs. If there are any now, it's probably to keep the true troublemakers out. So don't worry about not being able to skate there. If you are really worried, bring a trash bag with you and take away some of the refuse that you already would be removing in order to skate there anyway. Then you can say you are there to clean it up.

I was just watching Dogtown and Z Boys (for the 800th time!) and I was thinking about all the footage that Hal Jepsen shot on 16mm back in the day. He must have a s#@!load of bank, pool, pipe and ditch sessions with Adams, Alva, Peralta, etc. I would buy a DVD if he would put out one with a couple hours of that stuff. What do you guys think?

Back in the day we sessioned the Franconia Ditch with no problems. I moved away and 15 years later came back to the ditch and there were some faded markings on the ditch. I skated there with no problems. I didn't see any No Trespassing signs. Thats my take on the place.
