Pamela-I recommend a good forty inch or so, Randals are good too, the 150's or 180's depending on board width, the downhills don't turn that good because unless there's a tail wind your not going fast enough. Indy's are also a good choice as always. You must have good soft wheels, the bigger the better, they are drainage ditches, you never know what your gonna run into rocks, cracks, dog poop, tree branches, broken glass etc... Anyway, get used to whatever you get before you come here, flyin down indian school is no time to decide your board isn't the way you like it. Good luck, have fun L8

Pamela - get in touch with K-Lee or GI Joe on this board. They will give the low down.
My favorite is a Dregs Supertanker (56") w/RIIs and big green Kryptos. Smooth and fast.

Alright, where do I start?
I`m a longboarder living in Plano, TX and in dire need of some new spots. I searched through the archives, and found directions to the whip, and might check it out tomorrow. Could anyone (Stubbs, Mark Colden) tell me how to get to the funnel, or any other spots around the DFW area? I have driven all the way to lake texoma in order to skate a statepark, so distances don`t really matter if the ride is worth it. I promisse you that I will not bring a crowd (Heck, I know only 3 other people who longboard), or skate it that often. I know that the poolsharks website might be a better place to ask, but I don`t skate pools, so...
Feel free to e mail me if you don`t want to post directions on the web,
Thanks a bunch
Andre

Hope you catch this before you get to town somehow. Is that a cell phone number? If you see this, give me a call at 505-246-0419, I'll show you around to more ditches than you can count. I'll try to get someone I know with long distance to call your phone too. We've gotta hook up, man!

I was at a Reds game Friday (for those who follow baseball, the one with a bench clearer in the sixth!! Go Reds!!) and spied some sweet banks right in downtown Cincy!! If anyone has some low-down on them (cop factor, etc.) or if you want to meet up and session them, drop a line!

This is my first time visiting this link. I used to skate Southern California ditches for many years. I have lots of old film footage/photos of Sadlands, Euclid-V, Flower Street, San Diego and other ditches that my friends and I skated for years, until I moved to Colorado. I suppose I could put a video together, or something if people were interested. If you are interested, just give me a call at 720.851.8251, or email me at coooperproductions@msn.com
Thanks.

Holy s#@!!! I really need to skate that place. It looks fun, fun, fun. If you can drop any vague directions my way, I'll not abuse it. I.E. no graffitti, trash or noise. Throw on the 74a wheels for the stealth cruise!
I'll bet the those neighbors would call the cops if skaters get too rowdy or start tagging it.

Thanks for helpin' to take care of me at th'bear. Sorry I "missed" you...not missed crashing into you, but not being able to remember seeing/meeting up with you or Kaylee this go-round.
I'm back on both my slalom and longboards! Still waiting the second Catscans to make sure I don't need further treatment.

Beside every point, but I gotta brag on my cool girlfriend! This weekend we went to the park, she read while I hit the the roundwall and banks. Good times. Then, as we were driving back to her apartment, she (who doesn't skate) turns down this road where a new housing development is so I could peep around and see if there were any new "water drainage facilities." Tell me she ain't a keeper!! Sorry to say that I didn't spy any ditches in the quest, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Alright, I seem to have screwed up a bit on matching up e-mails with spots on my page a bit. Who was it that sent me the Bubble and Malibu ditch pics from New Jersey? Did you want to be listed as a local link? I listed some other chaps from another state on accident, and I can't remember for the life of me who sent me the NJ pics. Are you out there?

My friend and I will be making our maiden voyage to Albuquerque for some skating on the 20th...
One of the reasons we were going already got cancelled, now if Indian School is a bust too, ahhh don't even want to think about it.
I think we all need to do the rain dance immediately.
