One more question:
Has anyone had any luck finding ditches with topozone? I justo found the spot where the chute is, but there is no indication of a ditch there... I`m still thinking of using it to hunt for hills, though

Man, just had a short session at the chute today. SWEET place! Thanks to the people who helped me out... I started out with my homemade 50" board, with old indys and big kryptos (76mm 83a). Man, that board didn`t turn half as much as I needed... I ended up using my brother`s Landyachtz chief, with R2's and big kryptos as well. So here`s the question, what set ups do you use for ditch riding? What trucks? I figured I`ll have to make me a ditch board soon, so it`s time to do some research...

Hello all! Hope the summer ridin' is going well. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good banks in Maryland, especially the Baltimore County/City area. I know of a few and would be willing to swap spots with someone. Thanks a lot! -MATCH- KNOWN east.coast.longboarding

I think it's terrible that the Deathbox forum is down. That is rougher than every oldschool skaters lips combined. Bring it back Hack.
Every oldschool forum is needed to continue this great legacy.
Oldschoolskate, Bowlrider, Bulldog, NCDSA, and if Hack could just hook-up a seperate forum from the rest of the Tum-Yeto ghetto that would be the way to go.

Thanks, Lowrie.
I still don't remember ANYTHING from that morning, so I'd appreciate if anyone has any pictures (electronic or standard) or video footage of me (even if it's not the actual crash), I'd appreciate seeing it.
Again, thanks to all who helped get me back on my board again, with your help that day, or with your thoughts and prayers.

Albuquerque Trip

Hey K-LEE, its Ian who went to Albuquerque with Matt. We got in on Friday night and scouted out Indian School, The Bear and some other ditch and then slept on a concrete parking slab at the KOA campsite. We started skating Indian School at about 7:30 in the morning or so and did that till about 10, then I busted my ass in the crappiest fall ever. I was simply messing around on that slight hill section before the bridge that runs under Tramway and put my foot down to stop and the board took off out from under me somehow and when I landed my knee kinda hyperextended back and to the right. I ended up in a puddle of water in the fetal position right next to the biggest pile of s#@! I've ever seen in my life, its literally a foot long and 3-4 inches wide, horrible! Anyways that kinda killed the session and we came back later in the afternoon and rode about half the Tramway - Juan Tabo section for a couple more hours. Had to leave to go see the Chili Peppers that night. Overall, amazing trip!! You guys are so damn lucky. I've never seen so much ditch goodness. Keep your eye out for an absolute KILLER ditch Matt and I are working on making rideable, its a good mile - mile 1/2 long with 20-25 foot walls. We'll see. Peace out

Howdy, Hey Eric31, Powell Filmers(softies) are the only wheels I've tried that I didn't like. Too small at 56mm to maintain speed and with how soft they are, it just exacerbates the problem. Having said that, they are GLUE on masonite! If you want to go with with some lower durometer wheels, step up in mm's to at least 62mm(BDS Shogo's), 65mm (NoSkoolz), or 70mm(Flashbacks). Look around, there are quite a few wheels that will fit your needs. Good Luck! Chris Olden

Has anyone tried the POWELL Filmers wheels? I saw them on the website and they looked interesting. 56mm and 80a. Reminds me of some old wheels I had in the 80's that worked great on ditches and rough streets.
Anyone?
