I am mentioning a new type of slalom event... even trying to put a little pressure on Hamm to run it (the guy can take care of biz!)

Doubtful you'll see us at slalom events Bill... now if your into the downhill events, there's a chance we'll be there...
unless of course, Hamm Slam 2 should come about at the SJC dump road... and if Dave can be convinced to set a 25 cone course down the bottom 2/3 of the hill (great run out down there and those who don't foot brake at 35 mph won't have to worry about it)... now if that race happens, then you will see me in my silly blue/black/white leathers and my full face, and my sliding gloves, charging that type of a course!
I'd hope that you all would be willing to "race" on that... don't think little slalom decks will be working... probably have to break out a long board! When/if that "race" happens, remember your own words Bill!
I think I have poked enough at you guys now... in all sincerity... good luck on the new forum and the new home for the arab-lovin-crew... may your wheels be swift... and your oust bearings be swifter!

G. Gould-Its a shame that newbies who come to this site start recieving advice from people who should be seeking it also, not giving it. Its like the blind leading the blind, what good is that for slalom, I think the beginners should leave the advice for the pro. For instance look at Mike Mayseys forum, Mike is pretty competant for a new pro to be answering questions on his forum, now you got all these other people (Newbies) answering questions as if they are the pros. Heres a clus for ya, Weight dont mean crap, skill level and equipment is all you need.

Davebuilt-Thanx for the show of support, this forum is for anybody and everybody that can come up with some type of worthy content, even those people you mentioned are welcome here. I'm sure had Hugh and Rooney not dived in head first to an empty pool, it wouldnt look so stupid right off the get go. They are both welcome here if they are capable of contributing something worthy, at this point you make the call.

and the Bear Banked Slalom
Are we seeing a trend that is moving away from traditional slalom, Will this open the door to other skaters who wouldnt normally attend and particpate in a slalom event?

Unlike M.Vasocreta, I did met you at LC2002 (thanks to Norski, my sponsor). Dealt with the A-man on a few deals, and got along swimmingly. Don't agree with some of the crap that comes out of your fingertips, but WTF; America and all that. The way I see it, there are three camps: Arab's group, the Anti-Arab group, and those of us (like me) that enjoy the show.
Planning on making more Cali stops this summer with my weak-a$$ lame slow slalom stylings, but not before I get out East to G-3. Gonna ride what ever bearings I got in them wheels...

Alright here goes: I skate out on stage on my 48" baltic cruiser, Exkate 201's and Cherry Bombs. 12 cones are set at 4' (gotta stay on the stage). A naked obese man and a dog with a plate on it's nose preceed me, spreading rose petals.
