Damn, check the mail box today and still no CW to greet me! How come people on the west coast are getting them before the east coast guys?

shops!
On 11/19/2003 michael brooke wrote in from (209.29.nnn.nnn)

as with international longboarder, any shop who orders mags or other CW products like t-shirts or dvds or posters, will get a FREE SHOP listing in the mag...

I would love to have a list of 250 shops inside the mag...that way, the circle is complete.

it's like this.. you're a subscriber or you buy it from a shop and your friend sees it and wants a copy, he spies the dealer list and PRESTO...customers walking into shops you know have killer skate stuff...

circle of life...

All shops that want copies should contact me directly...

I am working with Climax and mags will be sent out via them.

Our goal is to list 300 shops in Concrete Wave...so, if your local shop wants Concrete Wave mags (and t-shirts and hats...and soon CWDVD) have them email me or phone me...my number is in the magazine!

cheers

New Mag out
On 11/19/2003 Dan Hughes wrote in from (162.78.nnn.nnn)

I got mine yesterday (Thanks!), so I brought it down to Gravity Sports to show them. And they're like "Wow", and I'm like, see I told you this is the best mag around.
They've been trying to get the mag through some source (distributor?) at Tracker, but haven't had any luck. He's going to call them today (again).

My only question, is how will I be able to know when my subscription is up (and I need to renew)?

if you spot the mag at Barnes & Noble, buy as many copies as you possible can....it's all about sell-through numbers on the newsstand. The more copies you sell, the happier they become and the more copies that sell, the more I will print. I am now gunning for 20,000 on my way to 30,000.

they hit around Dec 2nd

thanks for the nice feedback...you should see the NEXT issue ...that comes out mid January

BTW, if anyone in the DFW area spots the new mag in a Barnes and Noble, PLEASE tell me. I just might clean a store or two out... Well, around 5 copies. My buddy is going to Brazil in a few days, and he's taking some mags (way) south of the border.

Hi Michael and CW crew!
I am stoked! Got the new issue in the mail today and went on to read cover to cover......; when was the last time I did that? Probably in the early 80's when I got hold of a rare copy of Skateboarder Mag.
Just brilliant, well see for yourself.
And the new 2004 calendar is just so cool.....

Got my new issue in the mail today! YAHOO!! You guys must have put that envelope directly on the plane for it to get to Israel this fast. I'm super psyched even from just leafing through the pages. Guess I'm going to miss some deadlines this week. And the calendar is superb! Thanks so much guys. Keep it up!

Read the last issue on the train this morning
On 11/17/2003 Haim Barr wrote in from (212.179.nnn.nnn)

Read the last issue - thanks to HR - and I washed my hands before I read it. As for creases, well alot of things can happen in my briefcase...
Great mag. I read the editor's note about how the industry should direct more attention to 30-40 yr-olds. I'd like to add the observation that in the music industry, despite the hype directed to "youths", adults (30+) actually pull the train of the industry by buying music and expensive concert tix, while my teenagekids have yet to experience saving up some allowance to buy their favorite artist's new CD. I'm not sure they even know where the store is...

subs for overseas
On 11/17/2003 Haim wrote in from (80.230.nnn.nnn)

Cool! I'll be waiting anxiously for the mailman every day now. I've started passing my copy of the last issue to local skaters here to see if I can turn them onto to it too. I'm just a bit worried that too many hands may leave it creased and wrinkled (No Haim B., I don't mean you). Guess I'll have to consider two copies. One to preserve and one to pass on.
