I know there are some guys from Scotland who post fairly regularly on the Gravity forum (www.gravityboard.com). If I could remember their screen-names, I'd tell you, but I just woke up. :-)
As far as tricks, what do you need to know? Welcome to the LB family.

AZ Steve: You're in bro! All are welcome! Thanks for the support. If you are interested in a shirt drop me an email and I will get you the particulars.
WT: Thanks for the WEBSITE update. We will have the bandwidth issue resolved by Friday. Everyone's patience is appreciated. Bros, this is a good sign. We are getting way more traffice than we ever anticipated. Hopefully, this will eventually result in us being able to generate some revenue from advertising, sponsorship, and merchandise sales. Remember, all revenue generated from shirt sales go directly to support the website and the organizations efforts. For example, this past weekend at the Slalom Jam at Hobby Park, the DHB shirt sales revenue paid the rental on the picnic shelter.
Thank you all for your support and involvement in the group. This fall we hope to put on a major slalom race at Hobby Park and this summer another big longboarding skate jam here in Statesville. Stay Tuned! We are about to BLOW UP!

www.downhillbillies.org is down Wednesday May 18. Don't panic. NCL, Rookie, DHolt, Matlock and Spiderman are all on the case. It's a question of negotiating and paying for a lot more bandwidth than originally anticipated.
Y'all be cool.

Yo, MK...the gospel of Old School has been spoken here in the desert for some time now.
A few years ago, I was accepted as a member of Team KnuckleHead, and I salute all of yo...ouch. I see many similarities between the ol'KH's and the DHB's.
Allow me to be the first of the crossover skaters, holding dual membership as both a Knucklehead and a DHB.

I don't know of any in that area but you can start a DownHill Billies Chapter there! Start with the local skate shops and see if they know of anyone longboarding, post on here like you did, and also, look and see if on www.skatercafe.com if there are anyone from that area! Buy a DHB shirt and your a member bro! Be the first in Kansas City and you are automatically the DHB rep for that area. Utah Trish has her area, Mark Jackson is our Las Vegas rep, Fatboy has New Jersey, and so on and so forth!
We welcome all who skate!

Fatboy, if you want to email your shot to me. I can put it on my Photobucket acct. and post it for you. For that matter, if you want, Photobucket is free and easy, but the offer still stands.
John D., I'm stoked that you and Marion got to talk on the phone. You two are the two of the biggest stokers I know on the LB/slalom scene.

The DownHill Billies Website could be temporarily down for a few days as we address some bandwidth usage challenges with our Web Host. It seems our latest videos are too high quality and we need to address it. We had so many people download our video on Sunday that it used our monthly bandwidth allotment. Please bear with us as we solve the problem. Buy a shirt so we can pay for more bandwidth! Thanks!

JD: Thanks for calling me from Joe I's phone yesterday! Your message got me motivated for sure. I was thinking about what you said in your post about the longboarders showing up and getting into slalom. I think for a long time the two disciplines were considered by many as completely different but in for me I see them as highly complimentary. Carving is slalom without cones plain and simple. Longboarders who bomb hills have a great sense for speed and how to manage a grade which has been very helpful to me as I am learning GS. I think that longboarders are clearly a great group of people to introduce to slalom.
For the DownHill Billies we are all about all types of skating. Slalom is a part of what we do but longboarding, sliding, street, parks, transition, etc. are all important to the members. We are fueling the stoke of skateboarding!
John Dillon thanks for leading the way!
