San Clemente
On 7/7/2004 Ethan wrote in from (192.12.nnn.nnn)

Skated all over San Clemente, CA over the 4th of July weekend, what a great palce to skate. I'm not talking about their skatepark, just the butter smooth streets.

Thanks to the locals (especially Tim-O & JStafford!) for showing me all the steepy steeps where the rich folks live. That fifteen minute run with the view of all San Clemete was dope! I can't believe you ride those hills without gloves, TimO, thats some skill, man.

So many butter smooth black diamond runs, I'm sooo jealous. I thought SF was longboard heaven- but until they start repaving streets here its more like longboard purgatory. I'll post details on the specific streets we rode when I confirm them on the maps.

GoSkate
On 6/28/2004 Steve wrote in from (69.108.nnn.nnn)

I heard about how the employees kept stealing from him. I don't blame him for shutting down, but there's nowhere to go to buy skate stuff around here! Santa Cruz and Palo Alto are so far that I might as well go to Purple Skunk.

I'm not one of those guys who thinks that the shop owes me anything, and betrayed me by closing down. I'm just glad the owner can get fat from rents. He was cool.

PS: Mark Johnson? Like Tiltmode Army Mark Johnson?

p banks RIP?
On 6/15/2004 Dan wrote in from (67.180.nnn.nnn)

Went by my one of my fav bank spots tonight and found a dumpster and a bunch of construction crap in the flat. I am pretty pissed off as i have been skating it since like 87, never had anyone tweak until some BMXer's started to ride there and recently started to chip the stucco walls that are at the back of the banks and litter, blew it out in 2 months.
Not like there isn't a million freakin dirt banks and jumps everywhere, got to come in and destroy this spot too.
Hopefully it will be back soon.
Hopefully everyone on this board knows that you should not damage property around spots, like breaking stuff, graffiti and littering, as it will get them blown out quicker than you can say blown out.
Thanks for letting me vent
