TO DAVID
On 6/7/2004 Ben wrote in from (68.231.nnn.nnn)

Hey david,

When you typed Washington i thought you ment d.c. This brings a tear to my eye becuase where i skate you couldnt find a hill like you where talking about for 400 miles. Skate it once for me and i did the math anyways to see how far of a road trip that might be and it is only about 2871.03 miles.

The view is best from the edge. Skate hard. Ben

We are down with skateing anything but not for about two weeks becuase my board broke(worst thing that ever happed to me)joke. Umm just post back if you have some crazy places to skate and maybe we can make a trip up there.

Hey Ryan

It does sound like you are very busy and i understand that so what i would say to do is just find out a time when you want to skate and we can meet you where ever. If you dont mind just call my boys cell phone to contact me. mine is broken. His name is wade and i will tell him that you might call. I have looked at your website and it is very cool i hope it helps to get rides from this area together and congrates on your baby coming soon. So just give me a call at 757 870 7768 and ask for ben i will probably be there if not just leave some way to contact you back. I am down with skateing any thing any where and just think of a time and a place. Hope i hear back from you bye.

Sounds good. I'm going to Santa Cruz this weekend but maybe next weekend. I usually go early in the morning cause there are less cars... but with other folks and maybe a chase car I'd be down for doing it anytime.

I've actually never hit up Tunnel, so I'd be down for checking that out, too. Hit my email or 4158068360.

Presidio Empty for Bay to Breakers
On 5/17/2004 ethan wrote in from (192.12.nnn.nnn)

Presidio was almost completely deserted on Sunday. Like Christmas morning, New Years Day kind of deserted. It was so f**king great!

The annual Bay to Breakers race held that day. Most of the althletic running types were at the BaytoBreakers race, and everyone else avoided the City cause of the bad traffic from the race. Oh man it was sweet. That area where Kobbe intersects with Park is such a blast.

San Francisco downhill skaters, next year be sure and come to the Presidio druing the next Bay to Breakers if you like the sound of carving up car-free streets in a beautiful park.

NOR CAL DITCH SK8'EN
On 5/14/2004 ICE wrote in from (165.121.nnn.nnn)

Copied from the Ditch Forum:

What's Happening?!?
Yea.........
I got the best ditch in the bay!, and you don't know where it is!
But if you got a strong back and a shovel I would'ent mind showing you where it is, if you want to do some cleaning this weekend.
I got atleast 3 guys including myself gonna be there Saturday and Sunday but we could use some more help to do some cleaning. One pile in the flat and cleaning off the tops of the walls.
This ditch is tight! 5' walls, 3' flat, skate park transitions! Lip to lip with ease! some rough areas but still the best!
Better than Chesbro, Uvas, Morgan Hill!
And nothing like any of them.
Check out some Pic's. on SFLONGBOADING.com go to forums under AREA 51 post a reply

EVERET MEMORIAL HWY ON MT SHASTA CA
On 5/8/2004 JOE wrote in from (66.81.nnn.nnn)

EVERET MEMORIAL HIGHWAY GOES UP MT SHASTA TO THE OLD SKI BOWL. THE SKI AREA WAS DESTROYED BY AN AVALANCH YEARS AGO BUT THE ROAD IS STILL THERE!ITS 14 MILES LONGAND REAL STEEP ON THE TOP. IT MELLOWS OUT SOME AT THE BOTTOM.CLEAR THE ROCKS ON THE WAY UP FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!IVE ONLY HIT IT ONCE ON MY LUGE AND I SMOKED THE BEARINGS BY LESS THAN HALF WAY DOWN. THIS DESTROYED THE KRYPTONICS I WAS USING BY MELTING THEM FROM THE BEARINGS OUT.THE LAST SPEED READING THE CHASE CAR HAD ON ME WAS 60+ BEFORE I LEFT HIM BEHIND THROUGH THE TURNS. ONLY THE LOWER PART OF THE ROAD IS ACCESSABLE IN WINTER AND SPRING DUE TO SNOW. THIS PLACE WOULD BE A KILLER DESTENATION FOR SOME SANCTIONED OR OUTLAW RACES. NOT FOR BEGINERS !!!
