Races
On 1/28/2008 Brandon wrote in from United States  (4.240.nnn.nnn)

Hey Joe - any info on races yet? Harper again? Katesnips? Just trying to get a little head start on practicing (I need it). Taking suggestions? I'd like to nominate "Spain" ditch. Not the fastest, but really smooth, and a good location. Houses are at least 50-75 yards from both sides of the ditch, friendly neighbors, and usually dry. Although the city alleviates it's water pressure with an occasional burst into the ditch. If I remember right, it happens around 7 or 8 PM - so it wouldn't jeapordize any racing.

Farmery
On 1/8/2008 Tadster wrote in from United States  (71.112.nnn.nnn)

It's funny you should ask about Danny boy. He called me today to give me his very own cell phone number, and he wants to get out and skate. He didn't have much time to talk but said he would be interested in going to Maryhill on the 19th. It is a good sign that he may be getting back into it with us, I hope.

Oldest to ride the top of the Crest
On 1/7/2008 Tad wrote in from United States  (71.112.nnn.nnn)

Haha, Sorry Chris, I thing I have you by a few years. I rode it last year with the cinder on it. I think I wore out a shoe that day. I hope it will be clean for this years trip in may. I will need at least one extra day for riding Sandia. Great to hear you are having the ditch slap again this year Joe, and I hope I don't get slapped so many times this year.

Ditch Slap Dates
On 1/4/2008 Joe Lehm wrote in from United States  (65.19.nnn.nnn)

It's time to nail it down and announce that Ditch Slap will be held from May 1st to May 4th 2008. The Indian School Invitational and Ditch Slap '08 will NOT be held in conjunction with each other for many reasons. The few "Elite" Indian School invitees and their race organizers need to FOCUS with minimal distraction to be able to pull off their race successfully, in one shot.

Ditch Slap on the other hand will last at least 4 days, be very diverse with venues all over Albuquqerque, including 3 Banked Slalom races, the Chinese Ditch race, a Crosstown race, suprise races and jams and endless shuttles provided for all participants. Basically one GIANT distraction for the masses!!

Details will be posted soon on the Contest Calendar

If you have the choice between puttring down a hand or putting down a toe, always choose the hands, as long as you have your slide gloves on! Are you going to be gimping like me and Ryan? Say hi to Noah and crew for me.

happy holidays guys. thanks for covering for me joe! i had a sic session yesterday at the legendary Old Tunnel Road in Berkeley with the Infamous Mr. Rizzler and a few others. i tried to be extra cool and not grab rail or put a hand down in one of the hairpins and due to my lack of fine motor skills i stubbed my toe really good and am limping around today. should be good to go by the time i'm back.

Hey Timeship! Merry Holiday to you all! I hope you all have an awesome holiday. If any of you find yourselves in Abq on Holiday eve, we are having a little party with a ton of smoked meat, whiskey, tequila, and who knows what else. C'mon by! Then on holiday morning, we are going to open our holiday stockings and all the holiday presents under the holiday tree! I just love Holiday!
