Paul and All Other Travelers,

I've looked into lodgings for G3 and found Summerfield Suites in Gaithersburg has a buy one night get one night at 50% deal that's on in May. It's one or two bedroom suites so you could pack about 6 people into a room and still have your fullsize fridge for adult beverages and linguica. If anyones interested in particulars, drop me a line.

It would be nice if we were all in one spot so we could carpool or whatever.

Joe & Nick

Paul, if you want to see/do more than just the Gathering. I would suggest staying closer to downtown and just ride the Metro train around. You could fly into National airport and not even need to rent a car.

The Metro goes up to Shady Grove which isn't far from the Gathering site. I (or anybody) could just pick you up on the way each day.

Hey, Does anyone want to carpool/share rental costs to drive from the Washington DC area to go the 3rd GATHERING SLALOM AND MORE SLALOM? I'll probably fly in May 1st or 2nd and fly out May 5th or 6th.

Bozi and others,

Thanks for the kudos and the suggestions re our recent site improvements. We're still in the process of cranking out more updates including:

- Power Search page
- Totally redesigned Home page
- Screen handle exclusivity (i.e. optional log-in)

The post rating system still serves a valuable purpose in that it flags abusive posts for our moderators. We also log the occasional Best Of vote that will make interesting searching once Power Search is online.

Thanks for everyone's continued support as we enter our seventh and busiest year ever!

Adam, like the new colors & look.I saw a post someone else made that made sense.....since the ratings boxes arent used much, & the Ads will be on sides now, could you consider loosing ratings boxes for a wider posting area?
Just an idea, I love this site either way just the same.
Thanks , Bozi

The 2003 World Longboard Skateboard Championships that was scheduled for June in Folly Beach has been moved to Sept 17, 18 and 19th of 2004 in San Diego, California USA. We regret any inconveniences that this change has caused you. Please pass this info on to other skaters that still do not know. I have received emails from skaters not knowing the date and location change, I don't want someone to book tickets that will be expensive to change or cancel. The WLSC's will be held every other year, with the next event in San Diego 2004. The 2006 location has not been chosen yet. Keep up the stoke, Tasos

I'm usually not one to jump up on the soapbox, but is there a competition going on for the worst, most offensive logos or graphics ? Check Buy-Sell-Trade for Red Clay's strong entry for this dubious achievement award. Dog Town, PVD, and Red Clay should get together and put out a sacriligous, devil-worshipping, rebel-yelling triple threat masterpiece.

But are there any hills to "down" in Minneapolis?! We do lots of riding in chicago, but it would be a stretch to call it "downhilling!"
