Just want to make it clear that I am not calling anyone rascist or ignorant.
Its about sensitivity, and I'm a sensitive, lilly livered kind of guy. (oh and 'Much Hated, according to John O).
Arab's posts make me laugh, and I enjoy lively banter with him. The interent can be great at bringing people together from all over the world, and NCDSA does this well. I really encourage international exchange as it promotes understanding, and I hope that most people here understand and respect that.
When people post on NCDSA context is often lost, so too is the little smirk that tells you that someone is 'only joking'.
Now Arab and Bozi, good luck with giving up smoking, its easy, Levene's done it hundreds of times.

Ahhhh....the one word which should NEVER be spoken.
Funny how I hear blacks speak to each other with that word, and in that context, it`s OK...WRONG!!! If you can use it, so can I (though I won`t). I`ve had this discussion with many blacks before. And one I`ve never conceded.
Anyone who uses the word is ignorant, insensitive, and racist...white or black.

The "n"word there are couple versions,nigga is becoming more acceptable, it still has tremendous context sensitivity,it depends how you say it ,what words are around it,and what people are around you when you say it. When in doubt, don't.

Arab, thanks for clearing that up.
However many people in the UK find that word deeply offensive. It would be best not to use that word to avoid confusion. Chris Rock uses it in a well known series of jokes he tells, and I understand that. Its all about context, and using that term on NCDSA is neither the right place, or an appropriate place in my opinion, which probably doesn't count for much.
Acknowledging the sensibility of others is a good thing.

Michael-In America the term Nigger is used by people of all color for people of all color. Dont know how JO used it, but here is a story how I used it.
My mother who is white, use to date a Pro Football Player that played for the LA Rams back in the 70's who was Black, This guy was a Pro Bowl Right Linebacker that was 6'9" 270 pounds, Well one day the guy thought it was OK! to hit my Mother at a resturant in front of all her friends and business associates, My mother who is 5'3" and all of about 120 pounds came home with a black EYE and Bloody nose, Nobody called the police because this guy was an unofficial Police Officer for the Local Police like Elvis was for the FBI.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands, As I was loading up my 9mm, the piece of crap showed up to our house, He came to the door, I answered the door and put my 9mm right to his face and backed him right back to his car calling him every Nigger word I could think of, Keep in mind I was all of about 18 yrs old, 5'6" and 140 pounds at the time. But me and my 9mm was not gonna let some Nigger hurt my Mom.
I dont like Niggers, what ever color they are!
This Nigger just happened to be Black.
And dont think of trying to call me a racist for my use of the word, My Mother is a full blooded American Indian, My Dad German, My Wife Japanese, My Best Friend is a Jew, My Closest friend/Co Worker is Black(He prefers that vs being called African American, because he wasnt born in Africa), The County I live in has as many Mexicans, Asians and other minorities as we do common white folk. I encounter more white niggers here then I do any other race.
Call me what you want! Call me a nigger! But DONT EVEN call me a racist!
Myself I have traveled to 48 states and 17 countries, I have encountered Racist of all colors,
Words dont make somebody a racist, actions do!

I have been told some of your background, which I believe includes military service. I respect all military personnel, and admire the difficult job many do around the world. You seem to have it in your head that I am an American hater, and that is absolutely not the case.
The problem I have with your post is that I do business with many Americans, and many of those people are actually known to you, and you will definately know them. I cannot risk them thinking that I may share political views that are hostile to the US, and consequently I DO NOT post political comment on this site, or any other. My politics on US foreign policy are my business, and are of no interest, or concern, to you, or anyone else.
What I do object to strongly is your use of the 'N' word in your post. Whilst I am not sure whether in the US it is acceptable to use that word in my country it is most definately not. MANY of my friends are black, and I will not accept the use of that word in my presence, by anyone, at any time. If someone makes a rascist statement in my presence, I 1) Will never do business with them ever again, and 2)Never bother talking to them again. (Lucky them!)
I refused work in South Africa when the apartheid regime was in force, and was prepared to lose my job over it, I travelled the world working for an international UK publicly listed company. This is one political stance that I will not back down from, not now, not then, not EVER!
So it seems that you have been confused over what was said, and by whom. Please be careful what you say in future, and accept that you have lumped me in a list of people who have views diametrically opposed to yours, when the truth is you have NO IDEA what my views are.

Hey there Becca, lots of good advice posted here. I just was browsing the solidskate.com website and saw the Landyachtz V-Lam Mark. This deck sports a kocktail, something I recommend for a first time longboarder. Add some Randals and flashbacks and you`re talking a sweet ride.
Anyone else?? Does Jeff @ Bozi offer a soft to medium flex deck?

I have the 46" pintail and just love it. I have mine set up with Randall 180s and Flashbacks... A sweet ride.
I must also agree with those who recommend checking out Bozi boards. I have seen them up close and they are REALLY well made, although a bit too stiff for me.

My best recommendation is to talk to Jeff at Bozi (www.boziboards.com). He offers some of the best boards on the market equiped with the best trucks and wheels. He will work with you to determine which board and which mix of trucks, wheels and bushings would be best for you and your riding abilities/style. In the end you will have the best longboard for you and it won't be any more expensive than buying a board off the rack.
All of my dealings with Jeff have been excellent and his goal is to provide you with a board that you will enjoy and excel on.
Just my two-cents.
