what about finger flips? nice and easy and look alright feels really good if u jump high enough plus u can do it as you approach things like up kerbs or off drops. I am also putting serious effort into pop shuv its on my randalled flexdeck. it can happen,im sure of it. 7m @ 17 seconds? u're a bunch of fairies. Its 2 foot at woolacombe and windblown. Oh and its just started raining. Im not bitter! i just reckon im harder than u to go out in that. Actually make that stoopid. NEVER MIND IM OFF TO IRELAND NEXT WEEK and i'll take my longskate. Later guys.

Found info on Keith Johnson's www.surfacemotion.com for longboard freestyle tricks. This website is so addicting, I can't get out of here.

Gagging to hear of Mikez's epic session, or perhaps he's still in the post session couch-nachos-beer-tv recovery mode?

I agree with the multi-discipline comment. Anyone not using an internal-combustion engine is fine with me. I always tell pepople, it's not the bladers vs. the boarders, it should be the self/gravity-powered vs. the gas-powered.

h0dad thinks it's rad to see a mix of disciplines in that last photo, ie. blade and board, on the same hill, in the same session.
He has a bud who's nuts about ice hockey, a man to whom there is therefore no better way to glide than blades..h0dad observes that these are often to the hockey set what the wheeled plank is to the slaves of the wave...the natural choice.

I'm sure everyone has a little swooper envey right now, but let's not go so far as to discourage the good pics.
Chip and seal is common practice here in Columbia, MO. Fall brings lots of acorns, rain falls, they put cynders frm the power plant on the street when it snows. There are seasons to the ride. But it is pretty dependable. I'm looking at your road swooper and thinking I'd ride that anyday, anyway. There's a road near the vet school on the campus at 'ol Mizzou that has this spot that's alway wet, and has spots of crumbling asphalt. It's a thrill. Picking the line scrubing the required speed. It ends in a gravel parking lot. So you will have to carve. There is a board set up for everything. I made a 42", all wheel base, torsion truck, aluminum sky hook, Xtreme SS 99.5 for working the fringe. Off road/on road. A sweet controlled slider that can get off road, turns well and is stable at speed. For the chip and seal I'm gonna just look for the loose spots, and when I find em slide, keep it slower and have some fun.
But I'll separate paragraph here for fresh asphalt.
Better than park concrete.
Park in the morning.

man, that shot gives so many vibes. the guys scooting off, the guys padding up, the hill ahead, the sun (I live in England), the smooth road, just riding in a gang is great.

The top of the hill, warm sun and chilly air. The gang's eager for some turns and some speed:

Scott, "chip and seal" is a common road maintenance practice here. They cover the asphalt with a layer of sticky tar, then spread crushed rock onto it and let the traffic press it together. It's totally unrideable for months, but ok after a season or two. So we're getting the mileage while the getting's good! I was up there this afternoon, the bottom of the hill was dry, with scattered new snow and 6-9 inches of new at the top. That's summer in the Tetons, two weeks of bad skiing!

Hey Swooper, what exactly is a "chip and seal job?" I'm going to be at BYU-I this fall and am stoked to be able to ride that hill, but will the work that they're doing screw up our runs? Please fill me in>

hey guys, I thought you might like to see the swell hitting South Africa this weekend, I'm on the tip of sa. scroll down this map and look at the swell size in 48 hours from now.
http://152.80.49.210/PUBLIC/WAM/all_satl.html
thats the average swell size for this weekend. guess the rain might stop me from carving on my sk8 but nothing can stop me from another kind of carving.
